Vivosun 1000wtt digital dimmable ballasts

I've never used a dimmable ballast before, is it a good idea to dim the bulb with this ballast, what's your opinion on dimming?Is dimming worth it?

prob would get some better responses from people with experience in the HID section

but in general, dimming HIDs make the lumen/watt efficiency go *down* (unlike LED which is the opposite, for a given setup, less power is higher efficiency in lumen/watt)

Not only does the efficiency go down drastically when dimming HID, but the bulbs Color Spectrum will not be what's intended or advertised.
Go LED!!!

Ok thanks. Yeah someday I'm going led, but there so expensive. I've been looking into HLG, and Spektrum king, someday.
