COB Reflectors

I'm currently working on a light for a 4x4. The goal is to get a pretty even 900-1000 µmol m-2 s-1 across the whole space running it at 500W or less.

The COBs are Vero 29, 3500K 80 and 90 CRI.

I took some measurements with an Apogee SQ-520 today. At 40cm distance, I get a bit over 1k in the center but 200-250 less on the sides.

Any suggestions on how to get an even, near perfect spread? Thinking of adding reflectors on the sides. There was a thread on here where someone tested all kinds of reflector and lens setups but I can't seem to find it anymore. Any help is appreciated.

That's a bad Ass light. 25 vero29s? Damn. So they're all only pulling like 20 watts each huh? What voltage are they?

That's not gonna fix his dim edges...

yeah... but it's going to be much more even, it's also going to redistribute the power that cob is taking to the edges a little

Good idea.. might give this a try with some Q series strips I have laying around.

Yeah, it's way overkill but I had 60 Veros from a previous 20x10 tent setup that I wanted to do something with. They're actually the C versions so they run at about 65 Volts in this build.

Got them on a 480H-C-1400 wired series/parallel (so removing the center cob isn't really gonna work). Yeah I realize the 340 volts are a bit scary but I'm not bothered.

Lol you just have strips"lyingv around" and never thought of it?
Hahaha well all you'd need to do would either anchor off your fixture tovthevedge for each strip or you could use angle aluminum, and use eyelits with a nut on each side to hold a square together you could hang rope ratchets from. Mount the strips to the angle.
If it were me I'd want to lower it independently of that fixture. Get it nice n low.

So 4 parallel strings of 6 6 6 & 7 series I don't get how you're getting 350MA.

Well to my defense, I just finished building the light today

It's 5 strings of 5 cobs in series. Never said I get 350mA, I get 280mA. To my surprise, they still work just fine when dimmed down to 200W.. might just use this as an all around veg/flower light.
