The first plant had way more training, perfectly even canopy on top to let the light in. The second plant had almost no training. I get consistently bigger yields with a 54 watt cob then I do with a a VS300. Same nutrients, same grower skill level.

How many of the 54w cobs do you use ? And which ones a 2500k or 6500k cause I saw they have 2

fair enough, honestly man any blurple light off amazon is the same. mars and vipar probably share a factory for all i know. if i had to choose one i'd choose mars i guess. they throw a kick-ass BBQ party.

to me negates any need to ever buy a cheap LED.

i'd like to add that I don't think your lights are bad. and i've owned blurple lights myself and seen them grow dank weed so I don't judge anyone for using them. Everyone should do what works best for them.

I only have 1 54w 3500k from www.cobshop.net so far. As I get more $$ I will just keep adding. But 1 cob per flowering plant is perfect.

Here is a pic of my current grow under one. The pic is a week old now, I'll be harvesting her early next week. If I were to guess it should be well over 1g per watt. And I was growing her in some pretty chilly temps 63-68.

That Ipower 600 pulpoinspace linked to for only $130 is kind of kick ass light for the price. It will kick ass over 4 mars/vipar 300's any day in my opinion. But it's going to be hot and run your power up. Looking at that I can see how cobs are less affordable upfront, but in the long run I think 200watts of autocob will beat the ipower 600.

I guess you kinda have to pick your path on that one. I can actually see that light as my next winter grow light because of the cold temps I grow in. Cobs in the summer.

I do really well with the Mars lights I have used ,the Mars 300 led was great ,I'm now using the cob .I have two Autos under it .I have done a test on the led and now the cob.Both are great lights.For the way it's made the cob I really do like .and I think it will do a good weight this time,Next I'm hoping to try a scrog under it.
