Defamation is almost impossible to prove. That's why contrary to what people think they very seldom ever happen and when they do they almost always end in disaster.
In order to prove defamation you must prove by preponderance of evidence two things:
1. That what was said caused you monetary damages.
2. That what was said was not true.
She had absolutely no hope of proving either. She had in fact been making more and more paid appearances at the time.
The suit was seen for exactly what it was: a frivolous suit brought about by an overzealous half wit.
Unfortunately, it's Daniels that has to pay the price for it.
