I can HONESTLY say the buds that were left on the longest and gone purple whacked me faster and harder than the tops!! But will add I don’t think the high lasted as long. I’m not just saying that!! I intentionally smoked some to make sure I wasn’t selling any crap.

Has anybody tried to sell unwanted grow lights? How have you done it?

I guess it would be silly to put it on eBay even if you do not grow anything currently but going to in some near feature. The same goes for gumtree.

If I can somehow I would get rid of all my LEDs and use it to fund purchasing QBs.

I left pretty much a whole grow setup under my old house when I moved out (ballast, cooltube a bunch of old fans and ducting). Selling that stuff openly in Oz is not too smart unless its to a mate.

If you have leds now that are a bit shit but youre short on cash why don't you look into converting some of your old fittings? You can prob use drivers, fans and wires again just get some decent strips or cobs and use those instead of crap diodes. might need to replace heatsinks but you might get away with it if they arent too thin. lots of help on this site if you want to go that route

I would bin a fan but the lights I have(all viparspectra) are worth $1300 brand new. It is kind of stupid just to throw them away especially considering they have been used 1-2 grows only.

I would keep using them but they add a lot of heat plus I do not think they are actually totally good for flowering. They produced 2-3 ozs per plant but even though buds are ok they have barely produced any frost on buds. I left four plants after harvesting in pots because there were a lot of popcorn buds on them and moved them outdoor. Just in three days they started to grow and they are super frosty.

I know a lot of friends who smoke but none of them want to(or can) grow. I do not think I can modify them in something better. Plus I can get QBs with 600W(actually 6 of 288 QBS) with ready to assemble kit for less than $600 USD landed in Australia.

May be there is a shop in Australia that can buy used LEDs for reselling them. If there is none that actually would be a great idea to start one :-)
