You know what I never realized it before. It's blues based jam with a swing feel in the key of F. I mean there is a lot of these connections in musical history... I think Deep Purple had to be inspired by Green Onions for Lazy but I could be wrong.Booker T was on the soundtrack of America. Could well be.
Booker T and the MG's day job was as the house band at Stax Records. They played on hundreds of records for all the top talent of the times, including this guy.You know what I never realized it before. It's blues based jam with a swing feel in the key of F. 10 stars ! 10 thumbs up !Where Are They Now? Tortelvis. I wonder if he's still alive, man.
Yea they were awesome musicians and to take Zep,Elvis & reggae and make those combined parody coverversions. lol, they were good10 stars ! 10 thumbs up !
You know, most people [ who knew of them ] considered Dread a 'one joke' band, but they had lineups that included killer musicians. I've argued that their version of Stairway to Heaven is better than Zeps. I still would.
lol, youve bought a bag of hair...Going way back on this cover. I'm sure it doesn't sound like the same song recorded in 1936.
That Tura Satana tho....Same name, different song.
