Power strips and timers

My veg room only has one outlet hooked up to a 20A. The timers I have take up a whole outlet and only offer two inputs. I have 3 lights (260w, 315w, 315w). I thought I have a 15A power strip, why not use that? Then images of Christmas trees on fire due to overloaded power strips.

As long as you're consuming 1500 Watts or less (80% of max output) you should be fine.

1000 watts is only 8 amps too. 20 amp circuit can run 15 amps at 75% load. I think you are ok.

I try and keep my 15 at 10 full draw max. I think last run with everything on i was at 8

I would beware of cheap power strips though other than that you should be good as everyone else has stated.

Yeah I'm not worried about the circuit overloading but the power strip.

Some if not all of my stuff is plugged into cyber power upc’s to protect everything. They’re not much around 100 bucks or so.depending on where you look.
