Can I get an opinion or two on these Trichomes

You are WASHING ( leaching ) the medium only ....nothing else.
If the bud is extra green tasting , it is because of user error ( overfeed ) ...
Plant only consumes what it wants then stores the reserves.
It is ridiculous to thing you can DRAIN the plant of what is holding on too.

THE KEY is to have “ plant CONSUME the reserves “ meaning instead of falling for the flushing fairytale ...you SHOULD let plant have a lower feed as it gets closer to harvest.
This is why it fades at end .... leaves will fall as it finishes. Leaves will fall off on its own .... literally daily and be fully drained ( yellow out ) .

This makes complete sense to me. I'm on my first grow, didn't flush and was worried. But mine have been in the ground outside, and the soil is highly enriched with compost. There is simply no way to flush out the garden bed, nor would I ever want to if I could. I've spent years building up the soil, why would I then seek to rid it of all its nutrients? Plus, the soil smells wonderful and rich and I would be so lucky to have such aromas in my plants after harvest. I'm guessing flushing is a thing with plants in containers or for indoor grows?

Yeah what you are doing is different and does not pertain to the flush/don’t flush conversation . You’re creating a super soil, not fertilizing the plant with each watering. As long as you’re it plants are fading as they come to a close, the pant is doing the “flushing” for you (using up its stored compounds)

Sir, what you are describing is the correct process of flushing, the only difference is that you cut to a very low feeding level up until harvest where as I cut it a low level at 2 weeks before harvest and then completely to just water for a week but our process and reasons are essentially the same. We both force the plant to consume the remaining compound it has stored as well as those stored in the medium, that’s why the plant fades. So yes for a lack of a better word we are draining the plant of these stored compounds because the plant is using what it can and then removing the rest of the compounds through transpiration.

I don't know how this turned into a flush or no flush thread but people need to understand plant biology better than any of the answers given here.
Where are the nutrients stored that are up taken by the root system?
What does the plant actually use for it's growth?

Could I get another opinion? I think its probably two days away I was expecting a little more yellowing of the fan leaves but the breeders flowering estimate is 60 - 65 days and today is 70 days. But I also have 4 others that don't seem as close to being finished but are estimated to 70 so im not concerned yet. I've found the estimated finishing time to be a week or so sooner than reality. Although I had read a few times before switching to LEDs that both LEDs and uv light added for the final few weeks help with a quicker yield time.

How do the calyxes look? looks like you could harvest anytime now depending on preference, but swollen calyxes and swollen colas help round out the estimate alongside the trichome clear/milky/amber analysis.

love to see the bickering about flushing. grow organic folks, you won't have to worry 'bout it!
