Hello everyone again!

YOU ALL HAVE PERMISSION TO POST IN MY JOURNAL

It is time to start my next season which will be my 2nd grow. You can catch up on how my first grow went here:
http://www.rollitup.org/t/300w-x2-led-dwc-pure-indica-first-grow.943010/

This time around I have changed up my setup, hopefully learned from my past mistakes, and plan on really upping the anti.

I have upgraded my lights to an Optic 6, but I am considering using my 300 Galaxy Pro's also, not sure if this is going to be too much over kill or not but looking forward to finding out.

The thing I am most excited to test out tho is the addition of my Cloudponics GroController. This bad boy should manage my PH levels, Nutrients, Lights, Fresh Water, Water Chiller, and Temperature management. During my last grow I found that it got really hard to leave the house for more than a day or two without my plants needing some attention. This was mostly due to not having a large enough reservoir. I am hoping to alleviate this by using a Cloudponics Aero Force one which holds 15 gallons and has separated reservoir and fresh water tanks. With the Gro Controller managing my nutrients and fresh water I am hoping I can have a few mini vacations without risk of plant issues.

This time around I will be doing low pressure aeroponics. The Aero Force one has a res tank the plants sit in and can hang their roots with the nutrient and fresh water buckets sitting down below. A pump will bring in nutrient solution to sprayers and will spray the roots and then the excess water is then drained back into the nutrient reservoir. I am still researching the correct on/off schedule to do but I am open to suggestions once I get to that point.

Here is my updated equipment:
Optic 6 COB LED 620W
4x2x5 Grow Tent
180cfm Exhaust fan
180cfm Intake fan
4inch carbon filter
4inch hepa filter
Cloudponics Aero Force One
Cloudponics Gro Controller

Flora series nutrients + hydroguard
Cal/Mag if I need it

Seeds: 2x Jack Herrer and 2x Northern Light x Big Bud

Current Status:
I germinated the seasons on 9/30 and they are currently sitting in a germination station. All seeds are sprouted and are currently looking healthy. I will post more details and pictures coming shortly.

For those who joined me last time, and those who plan to join this time I welcome you and encourage you to leave any feedback. I am always open to suggestions or criticism.

Update:

I received most of my equipment from Cloudponics in the mail on Monday. There was a small mix up and one of the pieces was not sent but I spoke with their customer support team and they will be sending me out the missing piece. In the meantime I started setting up the equipment I do have. The ladies are sitting around 3 inches in height and are starting to grow their second node.

As soon as I finish setting up the rest of the equipment I will post some pictures and better details. I apologize this journal is taking a little longer to get started but once I have everything set up I am hoping to do more frequent updates.

Day 10 - Veg

I finally got my missing pieces in from Cloudponix and have everything set up mostly how I want it. I have a few more tweaks to do but I have some pictures to share with you all. Had to use my cell phone since my camera batteries are currently dead. Pictures in following posts.

Day 14 - First FIM

I topped using the FIM technique the 3 larger plants. I am waiting a few more days to do the smaller once since it hard a rough start to its cycle. These pictures were taken right before lights out. They have really exploded on their growth from last pictures (day 10).

Day 16
I Topped the last plant today. I felt it was a little small the other day and wanted to let it grow another node. There is still fast growth going on with the other plants I already FIM'd so it looks like they were not too pissed about their haircut.

Nice setup!
Thank you! I have put a lot of work into it so far but I have a lot more to do still. One thing I would like to tackle after this current grow is cabe/wire management. Right now everything is super tangled and cluttered so I would like to address that. I am thinking of using some large PVC pipping to contain a lot of the hanging cords and wires with. On top of that running some extension cords to certain places and using them as sort of an outlet should help alleviate some of the clutter.

Let me know if you want any more pictures or details about a particular part of the setup. I am happy to oblige.

Plant's have responded well to the FIM, they are all growing new branches where they were topped. I will do some LST probably tomorrow or the next day.

Day 20 - Veg
Did some LST over the weekend, got some branches tied down and moved the net lower. I am not very happy with the make shift scrog net I have up and would like to build something nicer. Open to suggestions if anyone has any.

LST is looking good! Yah your SCROG screen is too wide for spacing. Tho I would suggest the plastic screening your are using. Just with smaller spacing, if you get ehat I mean. I made a support/frame out of PVC and then just used twine string for my screen. The string was too flimsy and the branches moved the string aside.

Yeah I want to go smaller as well. The main issue I have and I'll try to get some pictures of this later is that the screen is just on the perimeter polls. Issues I run into with this is that its not tight enough on tension, I cant really remove it easily, its hard to slide up and down because of the fans also hanging on the polls. I want something that can easily be removed, height adjusted, and doesn't clutter up the area too much more.

Bought a new trellis net that is only 3.5" instead of 6" spacing. It should be in the mail when I get home and plan on installing that tonight. Will post more pictures once that is installed. I will have my first test this weekend on my new automated system. I will be out of town from Friday to Monday and am hoping for no issues while I am gone. I will also be hooking up my dehumidifier tonight since now that the plants are much larger the humidity in the tent has been hovering above 60%.

Day 25 - Veg

Installed the 3.5" trellis net. This is working much much better. Also did some pruning of the lower branches and any large fan leaves that were blocking light. Kept the trimming to minimal as to not disrupt the ladies too much. Also started scrog training and weaving the branches.

Installed the dehumidifier and put it at 50%, this should keep the humidity of the room at 60 or lower, but will adjust as needed.
