Why do i keep getting seeds? i just took down another 3 plants im doing the get a harvest every 2 wks,and the last 4 i got 10 seeds from the 4 plants.I have 16 flowering are i did till this time now ive taken the ones out showing seed pods.I think i got all of em this time but not sure if the pollen from them is the culprit are there just pollenating themselves???

3 grows and same problem. what im doing this time is starting fresh. for one im going to wash and sterilize my hands going in. second im making sure absolutely 100% perfect light proof setup. third im going real real easy on nutes. and lastly im going to microscope checking these hoes nightly in the full flower stage in case i see any any any suspicious and it gets cut. too many plants and too much time wasted now if i get seed this time im seriously going to burn my damn room down and start over or something

I don't mean to sound like a dick, but is there any other way to get seeds (without pollen, I mean)?

The pistils of the female are very sensitive to pollen. If you can see ANY evidence of it, rest assured it's already pollinated some of your plant.

Edit: Are they a good strain, perhaps you could sell them? Just a thought...

Yea i hear on the pollen,But ive heard of plants self pollenating.There AK 47,Juciy Fruit and White skunk.Its driving me nuts ive been growing 3 yrs inside and never had this problem.What i dont get is i got over 4zs and maybe 10 seeds total??It would be a great cross with the AK and the JF,its really not that bad im just confused and frustrated as where the hell there coming from. Yea thru the mail.............

Yes, your plant (if a herm.) will totally pollinate itself. It is a reaction of nature to ensure that the plant continues to survive in less than optimal conditions when others are dying.

MJ plants don't care where the pollen comes from, just so long as it is MJ pollen.

Not really a good enough picture to be able to tell anything. Try taking close up of the stem where the pollen sacks would be next time.

Looks nice and healthy though. How long was that plant in flower at the time of the pic?

Thers no pollen sacks just seeds in the buds and it says how old at the bottom 25 days.I put that pic where you could see what im getting on average about 3 to 4 seeds off of i think i got some pollen on my hand at some point and then transferred it to the plant,BUT why didnt i get more seeds you think they would be everywhere???Trust me i know what a male pod looks like lol.

Sorry, my eyes are a little worn out, lol.

My personal opinion (whatever it's worth) is that transferring pollen by hand can be much less effective because of the chemistry of sweat, natural oils, etc. That could be why not so many...

That comes from experience pollinating plants on purpose, btw. Although I don't have much experience pollinating MJ (for obvious reasons), I do have years of garden/greenhouse knowledge.

Yea that's the weird part, why are you only getting three or four seeds and not hundreds of seeds? Weird.

lots of really good strains can herm at end or produce 1 or 2 seeds. in my last grow i started 7 bag seed 12-12 from seed and all showed female,kept my eye on them, started to flower, looked really good and then i felt a bud and there were seeds forming, never saw a male ball, cut them all down early and wished i hadnt cause the smoke off them was rocking.sneaky old herms.

Now im loosing my mind,i planted 1 of the seeds of the last ones about 3 weeks ago and its growing great,BUT it doesnt have the traits of any of the 3 strains?All these plants are from clones as ive not had any seeds for over a year

I think you have males near by outside somewhere, that would explain why there are only 4-10 seeds. Another thought is the strain you have my have hermaphrodite traits, just a pollen sac in the center of a bud or 2, pain in the ass but 4-10 seeds ain't shit, especially better than problems with "micro" seeds, almost can't smoke that shit, sifting through 10-20 super mini seeds per bud! You're lucky if you don't know what I'm talking about.
