Low stress training help please

Hi so I am doing my first wardrobe grow and the plant is just flowering now meaning it has just shown it’s a female. I’m not sure if it has finished stretching or not but there are the first pistils coming out on most of the nodes from top to bottom. I am sort of running out of high and would this be considered low stress training? Pleas any advice and help would be good. Thanks (I know the lower fan leaves look unhealthy but all the new growth is fine and very healthy)

That's not going to do anything now..training should have been done much much sooner..and your light should be much much lower..it stretched alot! The purpose of training is to make sure that all bus sites are getting even light..to maintain an even canopy. I guess you haven't any options now, so i guess that would do to keep it from touching the light.
This was from a grow a couple years ago..first time i trained, but that's the idea that you're trying to reach..all tops even.

alright all good then. With the light it’s 200w led so any lower would it burn the plant? I just worry it is still too low the way it is now and could burn the leaves? But if not I’ll just lower it and hope it works

The instruction of the led grow light says that during flowering the light should be 45-60cm above plants canopy

It does look a bit stretched I don’t use led but maybe your light could be closer for better results. How many days of 12/12 is it?

Its been in 12/12 for 3 days over 1 month and because the plant wasn’t very mature when I swapped it to 12/12 it took about 5 weeks for it to show its sex (female) and I’m just waiting not for it to stop growing and start producing buds but I just hope it stops because it’s a 400w led light which has an output of 200w from the wall so technically a 200w led grow light.

Those blurple lights can be inches away. The manufacturer will tell you that distance as that makes the light appear to be stronger than it is. If the plant is stretching, that means the light is too far..that plant is at least 3 times the height it should be for the size of its stems. You're going to get maybe one 3 gram nug all the way at the top, and the rest of the plant won't produce but maybe equal to that. I go by what the plant wants, not what a box tells me. I have a 350 watt led (actual draw), its about 10-12 inches from the canopy..the 400 watt hps is about 12-15 inches on average. As long as heat is ok, in flower, you can give them alot of light!

Alright will do then. Seeing it’s in a dark period now I’ll have to do it tomorrow but thanks for that I’ll move it very close to the plant then. Can the light touch the top of the plant of just have it hover above it? Also am i still in time for the top cola to get a decent bud production? The pistils are just starting to show but no actually bud have started to grow. Also just with this, seeing the pistils have come out in the last 3 days, how long does it now take for them to start to form into buds? Thanks again and I’ll drop the light down drastically tomorrow morning

As it is, you dont have much place to move the light..its already almost touching the top. I meant in veg to keep it much closer so it doesnt get completely stretched like that, and also, thats the time to apply the lst. I don't see how anything other than the top 2 nodes can flower properly...its too far from the light, and the plant seems underdeveloped. Maybe if you add some cfl side lighting, but in your space, im not sure that's doable. Honestly i never watch the flowers that close to see when pistils pop out and such..when i flip the lights..for me flowering begins in about a week, and the odor starts noticeably about a week after that.

do you have horizontal space? you could supercrop it low down, like around the 5th node, halfway down, pinch the stem till it gets weak and bend it into an L shape. lay that sucker down. then lower the light so its 12-"18" flat over the flat part you just layed down. might increase your yield slightly. dunno.

I assume it stretched because I was using a 50w MH light for the entire veg and like first 2 weeks of flowering and then get a 200w (wall output) led grow light so I assume that’s why it stretched so much. Do you think there’s chance it will develop a quantity of buds?

For your next grow, in veg, you can keep that light within 12 inches of the plant

Depends on your definition of quantity:) The top part (where the green tie is and the node below that), you can pull off 7 grams from that area for sure..i would say lower than that..especially below fan level, it will be fluffy/empty buds that in total wouldn't equal the top.

Would I still be in time to be able to save it to get a bigger yield? And what can I do next time to get a better yield? Obviously keep the light lower. Top the plant in veg anything else I should do?

Also how long does it take to start getting some buds to form? Been just sitting with pistils :( anyways cheers for your Help man really appreciate

I wouldn't know what you can do at this stage since you initiated flowering weeks ago. i have never done heavier training, only lst and defoliation..i wouldn't think you can supercrop since it's in flower and can cause major stress...but i could be wrong on that. Since the plant can't really be reshaped at this stage, in my thoughts, then all you can do is bring light where the main (top) one, can't reach. Putting smaller cfl bulbs around the lower part of the plant. Again, as for when the flowers appear..for me its within a week..i did have 3 auto's last year, that just kept growing and growing. Calyxes formed at the right time, but no buds grew..i waited 4 weeks, and no growth at all..the autos were bigger than my photo plants! In the end i threw them out in week 9 as nothing was happening at all for 4 weeks. I even tried changing the light schedule, but nothing. I know that one of them did have a bit too much nitrogen as i wasn't used to having a sativa around, and overfed her..but the other two were ok in that sense, 3 different strains, neither of the three flowered..never happened before or since..i have no idea what went wrong!

i don't even see pistils in the picture. it looks like the plant has barely even started flowering. i would supercrop it.

realistically what do you have to lose?
