Sick plant looking for advice

Hey everyone my grow was going really well until after my plant stopped stretching and began to flower. It started off with these little yellow spots on the bottom leaves. I thought it was a deficiency so I went ahead and fed her a normal dose of advanced nutrients (4ml) in place of just water because I usually just feed once a week. But then the very next day the plant looked a lot worse and is progressing so I flushed her and then gave her a really light feeding and she peeled back up a little it seems but the leaves that were affected are still getting worse. Any advice on what I should do next? Any help or advice/ criticism is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the quick reply! I havnt been checking the ph of the soil no. But I always ph check the water that I’m putting into the soil. My soil is a combination of ffof and happy frog. I’ll check the ph of the runoff tomorrow whenever I give them a good watering. I thought it was a deficiency at first but when I fed literally the next day it was a lot worse.

ok. sounds good. what pH range do you shoot for with your water?
that is good soil. the ocean forest has a lot of nutrients already in it. so deficiency is unlikely. how long since the last transplant? its possible it could be nutrient burn as well. FFOF can sustain a plant without any added nutrients for quite some time.

a few other things,
what is your light source and how close is it?

in the picture, it looks mostly like yellowing of leaves between the veins. and it seems to be mostly happening on lower leaves. is this accurate? or is it happening to the whole plant? are there other symptoms? how does the newest growth look?

These our actually autoflowring so no transplant. They went straight into 3 gallon smart pots. The ph range I shoot for is 6-6.5. I have been on a feeding schedule with the advanced nutrients though, started off 2ml when the plant was smal and then worked up to 4ml once it matured. Was feeding once a week and was going fine until I fed twice in a row when I thought she was deficient. My light source is an hlg 100 18 inches from the top of the canopy and then a vipsrspectre 300 in the same room above another plant giving it some extra lumens a about the same height away. And yes it started on the bottom older leaves and is now moving up mostly just the fan leaves. Mainly just yellowing in between the veins and browning/burnt tips. Some of the very bottom leaves completely turned brown crinkled up but haven’t fallen off. The newest growth looks fine besides the tips are a little yellow but just barley.

hmm. lots of factors. confuses me. your plants look pretty good though. maybe a little heat/light stressed and a little bit over fed.

Yeah honestly thought it might be leaf septoria but there’s only yellow spotting when the leaf is first affected. I guess for now the plan is to just give it a plain watering tmmr or the next day and check the runoff and just watch to see how she reacts. Thanks for all the advice!

yeah thats a good plan. i doubt its septoria! overall looks really good! the slight yellowing tips and the upturned serrations on the leaves are what lead me to believe she might be a little bit overfed or heat/light stressed!

Thanks! You’re right could be heat/light stress to I’ll back the lights up to like 20 inches too. Hopefully she keeps healthy and doesnt lose too much weight.

Does not look like nute burn or septoria. More likely phosphorus deficiency.

So instead of giving it water I should give it a good feeding of phosphorous? Or a balanced feed? Thanks for the reply!

Bloom feeding. Caution on nitrogen.

Ok awesome thanks, I’m just curious if they were deficient why then when I fed them would they get worse right after? im just trying to learn from my mistakes.

I’ve been following AN 3 part feeding. Which says to use an equal amount of each, bloom, grow, and micro.

Eliminate the Grow totally. Consider Lucas formula with your Micros and Bloom . Mix 1/2 strength with 4 ml of Micros and 8 of Bloom. Adjust pH if necessary. Consider cal mag as well. 2 ml would be sufficient in a gallon.

Ok man this is my first time hearing about Lucas formula. Thanks for the killing advice I’m going to try this out. Just confused when you say mix 1/2 strength with 4ml of micros and 8 of bloom. What exactly do you mean ? 1/2 strength of what. Thanks!

Most 3 part nute systems. However just mix a Bloom feeding per your schedule at 1/2 strength but eliminate the Grow. Nitrogen is very easy to give should they show deficiency later.

Ok so I’ll add 2ml of micro 4ml of bloom and 2ml of calmag either today or tmmr. Then I’ll work my way to normal feeding using the Lucas formula. Thanks for all the advice. Hopefully this gets it back on track.
