Switch back too 18/6 or too late?

Hey everyone.
I started 4 plants 12/12 from seed in 1 gallon pots.
I am using happy frog soil.
They are 2 weeks old today.

My question is can i switch them too 18/6 lighting to veg them more or since i been doing 12/12 from the start it will mess them up?

Whats your thoughts.
Is it ok or is too late?

Why did you start on 12 12?

It was just trying something new.
I had extra seeds.
So i wanted to give it a try after seeing other growers try it.
I grow just for a hobby.
So i thought what the hell.

You're not doing anything but stunting the growth by putting them in 12/12 from the start. 12/12 induces a build-up of a chemical that causes flowering, but this only happens once the plant is a few weeks only and has reached a certain level of maturity.

You might want to do more research before trying to help people. There is an entire thread about starting from 12/12. Many growers do it with great success. Not trying to be rude, I just see people giving other people advice on a subject that they know nothing about. To the OP, do a search on RIU about starting seeds on 12/12. Lots if good info and pics in there. Best of luck.

I smell what your stepping in . 12 and 12 start to finish is very doable and only a concern with finicky genetics. Heck I have even revegged clones from 6weeks into flowering with no adverse effects. It all boils down to having a stable cultivar that can withstand stress when hormone levels change. Get ya mad scientist on yall!

I only clone from flower now. Exclusively. Monstercropping is the term. Read and learn if you are not familiar, newbies. This post is right on.

Yep. Monstercropping is the term. I get so many tops with that method I actually have to thin them out

Sure does beat topping, topping, and more topping with a side of tie down and a dash of suppercropping lol. Just to try and get as many tops as you want

Beats hell out of sprouting, vegging and cloning on hope. I sprout 5 for example. Sex them, veg and then flower. By then you know your best pheno. Clone that one from flower. Once you get it rolling you need no mother plant. Just keep cloning from the flowering clones. Bigger yields the result.

Oh hell yeah bigger yields. A few grows back I did a monster crop of just 3 in a 4x8 under 3 600's in 30gal smart pots. They engulfed the space. In fact they were busting out of the tent when I would open the doors lol

I begged people to come get some. Seriously. You never have to top again. You do have to thin.

Yes as long as your growing a stress tolerant variety everything will be just fine. But why the change of tactics after u had already planned on 12/12 from seed? And it might be worth a try to set your lights at 24 hours on for the first week to help with the hormonal switch

Get, or make, feminised seeds and go 12/12 from seed for a killer sog. Pop about 15-20 and trim everything but main cola. Good times had by all. Although monstercropping is super sexy and makes jungleicious beasts and you might find Dr. Livingston in the bushes that are made. Many options on how you want to skin the cat.

I have a bunch of girl scout cookie female seeds.
I started 4 at 12/12 from seed just as a hobby and too see what happens.
If the 4 i have turn out ok.
I will plant more next time.
