Staged cropping? You mean harvesting different parts at different times? If so no it shouldn’t cause hermies.
Thank you for the message/reply.

Yes, harvesting at different stages. I just would have thought it would stress the plants out. How come not?

By time it’s at that stage the hormones are full scale thus you won’t have the change. At least that’s how I view it.
Thank you for the message.

It's getting close to giving them the chop. Close... I mean anytime within 2-weeks, maybe less. Some of the lower buds are behind the upper ones. Ie colour of trichomes etc. So I plan to chop the big buds then lower lights and see if I can get a bit more out of them.

Thank you

Lots of ppl stagger their harvest like that. I’ve had some I chopped to a nub and revenged for a mother because I liked how it grew out in the end. Never hermied kept her for almost a year before I bred her and made seeds.

I do that all the time. Lets the lower buds ripen up and put on a little more weight. One of the ways to get 'nanners to make fem seeds with is to leave a plant flowering longer than it's due date and they will often pop out 'nanners.

If any do pop out that late you can use that pollen to make fem seeds on other plants or ignore them as they won't hurt anything that late in the game.

Thank you for the message and advice.

Now I am going to research "revenged for a mother"
As the 4 plants I got seem a strong breed and the buds look real good and smells real nice. Maybe I can get clones from the best plant if I "revenged for a mother"

Cheers :bigjoint:

My lower buds look healthy as do the leaves. They are just a bit small and behind. So I shall let them stay under until trichomes tell me otherwise.

Thank you for the message and advice.
Yes, lollipopping is something I have been researching. My 4 are quite overgrown, I created a spaghetti junction ( lots of yo yos and string ) so I have quite a good top and good light coverage.

Absolutely you are committed now ,I strip bottom 50percent of leaves 2 weeks before flower.
You will shock the plant when you harvest which will stop it growing for a week or 2 but if space and time available why not

Luckily for me, space and time are no issue.

Sorry.... I should have replied. Thought I had.
Yes, harvest big upper buds, and flower lower under developed buds for a few weeks more.

I also wonder if he means perpetual grows. If so then no as well. People do it all the time.
Thank you for the message and advice.
I had to google perpetual grow. No, i meant..... to just harvest big buds and leave others to soak up some light for a bit longer.
