Looking for a simpler and cheaper nute solution

I've decided to go with 1 ml per liter of calmag plus and megacrop.
My next question is regarding lighting. I have a new tent coming in the mail. It is 6x4 by 6 feet tall. I was hoping to purchase a 1000w double end and use the strongest inline fan I can find to remove heat. My question would be is the tent to short for this light? With a 500 cfm fan how close can I get to the light?
Was also hoping to stuff as many plants as I can in there.
For De 1000w you'd want like 3 ft clearance, so yeah you could but myself with 7 ft ceilings I wouldnt. If I were you and you are set on hps, I'd probably put 2x 600w hps in there.

2 630w cmh lights would be awesome
Or like 900w high end led samsung lm561c base or later bin in 3000k. These are a bit more expensive options, but imo worth it if you have the coin.

NO Way you can use a DE with 6 ft height. You have to give a MINIMUM of 36 Inches from the Top of Canopy. It doesn't matter if you have a 10,000 cfm fan.

IMHO for a 4 x 6 area yur best bet is a 1000w Hortilux HPS Bulb. Don't use anything else of you go HPS. Its Blue Enhanced. Ive used this bulb for decades for both Veg/Seedlings, and Flowering. I also use Gavita 1000w DE, and 1000w Nanolux CMH DE.

While the 1000w Hortilux is for me the Gold Standard for a 4 x 4 area, Im sure you can squeeze 2 more feet out of it in a tent, and excellent reflection.
With killer cooling, and a 1000w Hortilux you can get extremely close to the canopy. Should be able to hit 15 inches easy if properly done, as in the winter, in a big basement, and no atmospheric controls, I can get mine that close.

And if you think about it, though it for sure doesn't cover as much area as a DE Gavita, the space it does cover is at least equal to the Gavita, considering you can get the Hortilux so close.
The Hortilux HPS is 1600umole, and 145,000 lumens, and never let anyone feed you the crap intensity doesn't matter, because scientists still ue W/Sq as a unit of measurement of solar power, as well as Lumens/Sq/Ft. Its ALL Relevent.
Sun is around 100w/Sq/ft. 1600w in a 4 x 4. 10,000+ Lumens/Sq/Ft.

If you have 72 inches high tent, take off at least 1 foot for the container height, and another 3 feet for plant height and 24 inches from top of canopy. Your at the limit woth a Singlended HPS. Add another 20 inches if a DE, and your more than a foot out of room/height.
Id use an 800cfm fan.
10,000 BTU to efficiently cool a 1000 HPS.

Hortilux is a brand of light bulb? So to conclude I should be using a single end air cooled with an 8 inch fan at 800 cfm. The bulb inside should be a hortilux 1000w bulb

Am I better off using two 600 watt lights? I could get even closer to the canopy and cover the whole tent with light. Or will this not be as effective

2 600 hps/2 630w cmh lights will give you more height and better coverage, slightly less penetration directly under the fixture; the multiple light sources make up for it . Well worth it imo, particularly is you are doing a scrog.

I intend to do a sea of green and jam as many as I can in there. I was wrong my tent is 80 inches not 72. Anyone else agree that two 600 watt lights is better for my 6x4 tent over a single 1000w light?

How many plants did you squeeze in there? How tall is the tent and what kind of light are you using? Looks great
72 inches, 630 cmh, 9 plaints mainlined.

1000w de on a light mover would be fine for that if you wanted, I personally would use 2 630 de cmh.
don't run sog in that area without a watering system, your looking at around 100 clones. that's a ton of plants for an unautomated grow.

Maybe not as many as I can... u want thinking 100 I was thinking 1 per sqft. Total of 20 or 24 plants.

I run General Hydroponics in ProMix in my 5 x 8 space; along with additives such as Mammouth P and Fishsh!t, a tea from Advanced Nutrients, and Sugaree ... along with a few trade secrets. I'm a less is more feeder - always using about 50% of direction amounts. Of course, singing and dancing with your girls helps too!

For Flower I run 2 of the new Hortilux SE 600 CHPS - Ceramic HPS with a killer red light spectrum - love them!

Alright then so were looking at
72x48x80 tent
X2 600 watt hortilux bulbs
X2 8" cool tube lights
X1 8" Inline fan

I'm growing in pro mix
I have a beautiful mother plant ready for clones
Last question is in 3 gallon pots how many can I stick in there.if I go side by side will and veg for two weeks will I need to trim them?

Id use a 1000w EYE Hortilux to light the 4 x 4 area, and then a 600w EYE for the final 2 x 4. 1000w bulb is cheaper than a 600w.

Also agree its hard to hand water a bunch of plants.

Really depends on the pot size mate. Whatever one's you buy should have diameter measurements. Keep 2-5" between them for airflow and keep them off the direct ground.

I'd probably split the area and do two flowering trays myself and alternate harvests. Trim jail is real af...

Also going to state that a light mover say 2-3 foot movement total on center would give you height too.

Hell if electric cost isn't a concern and you are wanting to run heavy c02 throw 2 SE 1000w a.c. hoods on a light mover.

Or maybe 1 gallon pots? I have a 95 plant restriction
I have seen 72 in a 4x4 for a true sog. To much work 4 me thats why i mainline 9 plants in a 4x4 8 colas each for 72 colas and a full ass canopy. Get square 1 gal pots for your sog

I tried to main line once and failed miserably. Plant did not like it. Likely I'm to blame and not the silly plant. In a true sog how long is the veg and is there trimming to be done?

3 to 5 weeks. Yes if they are allowed to do any lateral branching your canopy could become to full. Same with my mainline.
