The market is absolutely flooded right now. . Who's going looking for a government store to pay double for half the weed...+tax? BC is so unprepared - only one store is licensed to open but the dispensaries are still going strong. The local one is weighing up fines against profits and might stay open in defiance. It's the only one on the island, so they are going to argue that it is needed.The local RCMP support them so we'll see. I got the popcorn ready for this comedy show -shit's gonna get funny in 13 days!

Racism is best defined as a lack of inclusion. Are we promoting inclusion by bashing Quebec? Nope.
Besides, I'd be rich if I had a dime every time I heard francophones look different. Most French-Canadians and Quebecers are multiethnic (of European, First Nations and African ancestry), and that fact has been used as a pretext by some to exclude them. As I mentioned in another thread, bigots used to say "speak white" to francophones who spoke French in public.
Such abuse has had an observable impact on how they communicate. Just look at how loud Acadians from Northern NB are when speaking in public compared to the ones who live below the "Bible Belt", down to the south of the province. Yes, transgenerational trauma will affect patterns of behaviour, such as how loud one speaks in public.
Besides, by bashing Quebec, you're serving your masters, which are the same people who gave us the war on drugs. Divide and conquer, buddy.

As always, the winner will be the market that provides the best product for the best price... and the most convenience.
The legal market has no hope here.
Same as what happened with booze when prohibition ended.... but what happened was that the legal producers back then bitched out the gov... we pay taxes and we paid big dollars to comply with regulations and the black market is killing us -DO SOMETHING!
And the gov did. To this day if you get caught selling booze you made or stole or bought off an illegal producer you will go to jail for a good while....
And that is how the weed BM will die. BM sellers will get the book thrown at them... after the gov stiffens penalties for trafficking. By my estimate the BM has about 3 to 4 years before you start seeing huge prison terms for dealers...
