I'm sorry but you don't "kinda know what you are doing" if you think using a fish tank water filter will raise dissolved oxygen levels to 11ppm or higher you are seriously mistaken.
Compare your set up to one that has been actually tested and the results confirmed by microscope.

If you don't like having it pointed out that you are doing something wrong I'm sorry, most people I know like to do things properly and don't mind constructive criticism if it will help them improve what they are doing.

The person that said it was ok to use the pump grows trees, can eat a seed and shit a pound. I dont think you fall into that category, sorry. I dont actually find you very helpful at all to be perfectly honest.
For instance when someone says brew they can mean culture without getting corrected with "constructive criticism"

As soon as it gets moist it's just going to get gluggy and cake up.

Aww ok well if mixed a tiny bit through the top of the soil just to kill the gnats, that should be ok would only use more if I see more gnats and could mix a little In spray bottle and kill them that way?

Give it a decent coating so no matter where they go they got sliced n diced.
Some folks put it on real thick but totally unnecessary just reapply as needed.

I didnt get upset I thanked for your feedback on three occasions and you just couldn't let it go, then escalated it to an argument. Mate if someone politely declined your advice and thanks you the conversation is over.
Only one problem you arent humble enough to let it go so that's where we are.
I dont really care for online guru's and guys that think they have every answer to every question,and have this innate need to be the smartest guy in the room.
