Noob lights are what they are. You are probably out a couple hundred bucks ...lts not the end of the world ... however ..... look ahead.
Most growers started with blurple, cfl , T5 , cardboard boxes , foil , turkey pan reflectors , etc.
The “problem” with amazon and similar is that products routinely MARKET false info about the lights they sell . A common pitch is the “ REPLACES a 1000 / 600 or so similar hps light “ . Researching lights SHOULD include looking for actual grows USING the lights you are interested in.
Even MARS / Viparspectra / Meihizi / relandro / and others have growers SHOWING journals / grows with them. TAKE IT WITH A GRAIN OF SALT.......... RIU is loaded with grow journals.
Been there done that with blurple way back when ... I got bud out of it , but KNEW I needed to upgrade , Did the CFL think ( grew better bud than the blurple actually ) as well with T5 FLOURO and PowerVeg hortilux ..... HPS ( wing and cool tube ) .... hated the heat and bulb failures.
Quantum / strip builds / cob rigs / pucks .... is what many now use with fantastic results ...
LESS POWER / Better plant growth and response / lower heat / higher efficiency ( LM and PPF )
You can grab ANY of HLG QB kits designed for a 2x2 space and spank those blurple panels .
Strip builds also allow simple DIY and results. Migro 100 is another great ready to hang light.
Remember.... you get what you pay for.

Example :
Old Mars blurple “ converted “ to a quantum board ( shit canned the blurple led board ) used ONE of the six drivers ( 50 watt driver ! ) that was inside case and created a light that used 50 watts in a 3x3 ! .....
I purposely ran it to see how well it grew .... and using a lousy 5 Watts per square foot , I grew weed BETTER than any blurple.
Old mars 600 converted to QB ( 304 board ) using only 50 watt driver ....

Ive been trying to catch up to you guys from the start... Started with cfls, went to a blurple type light (which worked out for a minute), then bought a qb288... All of this in a month!!! Got 5oz. from my first grow in July... Anyway, qb is the way to go for me!!! An hlg qb 100 is doing this...

I like the sound of that!!! Altogether or just one plant? I think I'll get that off the GG x CD alone when I put it in the bigger cabinet... And there's a OC x CD too... Not as full as the other but its going to be a monster too!!! Just flipped them today!!!

Let’s NOT forget COBS and strips ... there are many 2 foot strip builds killing the grows too !
I know a guy still rockin CXA3070 cobs and growing non stop. So actually throwing a light together is hella easy for cheap .... hell I run citizen 1812 cobs ... who cares they are not 3590’s.
CDIWEB sells them for like $16 bucks each. HLG used to sell them ... not sure why they stopped.
OP ... look at SOLSTRIPS ... they sell a strip light kit ... pretty simple to throw together and hang.
Once you go to better led solutions, that blurple will go to the garage shelf or resell on LETGO .
Keep your grow updated ... would like to see how’s its going ...

Yep .......
once I positioned board to test it firing ... it worked .
Board had to clear interior fans and fan driver , removed glass.
Simple brackets ended up on it .... for the win !
Should have used string or scotch tape ... for a OKIE build.
