Down the hole of cheap amazon LEDs...what to do?

Hi all,
So here I am, after jumping excitedly into the world of growing. I have 2 -600w phlizon ‘full spectrum’ lights set up in a 2x4x5 tent. It’s funny, since I set up everything I have been feverishly researching and I am reading a lot of people saying these lights are insufficient for a good flowering. What should I do? I have what would seem like a lot of light for a 2x4 I think, but now I’m worried it won’t be right. Should I upgrade to cob or quantum boards? I don’t want to have wasted my money...but I also want to do this right.

Run it and see what happens... Then you decide... Dont waste time second guessing yourself, you saw what you wanted and bought it, work with it and see what comes from it... You may be impressed...

200 watts of blurple isn't enough for that tent. It'll produce weed, yeah, but you'll be disappointed with the results. If you stick with blurple, you're gonna need at least another 200 watts. You could use half the tent till you upgrade.

I'd hold off till you can afford LED designed for that space. As somebody mentioned, Timber makes plug n play bar style lights built specifically for a 2x4ish area. HLG is another option.

Or get an HPS.

Need to get them separated into their own pots though
Forgive my ignorance as this is my first grow- ( I do have a lot of horticultural experience though) I was thinking I would let them get a bit bigger, cut clones off and put the clones in a separate room right into flower so I can see their sex, that way ill cut out the males from these three pots and veg everything to fill the room out and flower it scrog style. is this crazy?

200 watts is enough in that space to produce some nice bud, i pulled over 10 oz in a 3x2 with a mars reflector 120 watts max. 33 watts a square foot roughly with 200 watts in a 2x4

I use blurple lights, viparspectra. First grow pulled .8g per watt, second after fixing mistakes was 1.1g

I’m done arguing with people about if these lights work, mine do awesome and im keeping them.

And I only have 2 450s in the same tent.
Grams per watt is an old system that requires a very short veg time, mainly obscured when led fanatics started applying it to their scogs #fail

:-)

Well I’d hardly call 400 watts on 10 oz a fail for four plants.

What is your preferred system of measurement then? Cause I’m interested.

Just use them until you can afford to replace them with something much better. They will grow sticky lumps, just much slower than something much better.

"Phlizon 600W LED grow light can replace traditional 400 watt HPS/MH while consuming only 108 watts"
This is a blatant lie and is code for "run away, do not buy this crap"

Honest manufacturers of quality highly efficient LED`s like Horticulture Lighting Group & ChilLED Tech etc do not need to lie about the power of their lights.

You get what you pay for.
