Another noob question

Strain descriptors have a Time to Flower amount. ie 7-8 weeks, 8-9 weeks. Exactly what is this period of time referring to. Is this from germination to harvest, or is this from change to bloom lighting to harvest or is it something else? Having luck with my first plant but definitely feeling my way.

Typically it reflects the time buds first form to harvest
All phenos can vary

When they say 7-8 weeks that means flowering time, not total growth time. But those times usually are on the short end. You really need to learn how to read the trichomes to determine harvest time. Most people like to harvest when they mostly milky and about 5% amber.

That is time from beginning of flower to harvest, all things being perfect. Not from the flip to 12/12 or showing sex, just from beginning of flower till done

Your best bet is to buy a loupe that can do 100x and start looking at them after the 60 day from flip mark or even sooner so you can get a good idea of what they look like at all stages as they form and harvest plants at different stages of ripeness and see what you like best

Should of taken the Flowering Time as literal. Already have a jewelers loop (and handheld microscpe) and can hopefully identify the right time to harvest, probably another 6 weeks away.

You do have some autoflowering strais that take just 8-10 (maybe 12) weeks from germ to harvest.
