When to Harvest?

Today is 16 weeks from when they sprouted. 10 weeks/70 days of flowering.
No doubt at this stage I’m letting them run ‍♀.....
I have 3 left... all in different stages although planted at same time. One is getting fairly close I think, the other two at least two weeks away.
Appreciate the input for sure!!

one more thing ... with this kind of harvest bud , I tend to only remove the big fans and green that has very little trich ... AND LEAVE more sugar leaf on it to dry and cure . So you get the most out of it when you decide to blaze it up.
At least I’ve done that right. Haven’t taken off many leaves except Big fan ones.
The one plant that had zero sparkle a week ago is starting to drop some trichomes. Of all 3 plants that one has the biggest dense buds forming lol

Make sure you slow cure those .... dont worry to much on the cosmetics of them .
Next mission to keep that sticky goodness intact. Since they be a bit airy and such , you definitely need to watch how quickly they will dry when harvested and it may not take as long to be jarred as more typical buds.

I ended up with a finger plant a few times ... it was my meds , so taking proud daddy pics of it was off the table .... lol. But it was a fine smoke . I hung it less time than my normal round buds.

I rack dried these and ended up jarring those in like 4 days. They really didn’t have a very high moisture content. So off to curing they went.

They are looking actually quite nice ... I would say now maybe a good 10 days give or take.

Thanks for the info.
You’re right about the one plant that foxtailed BAD! It’s a freak and looks bizarre. This is just for personal use so the looks aren’t important to me. Here’s a couple of pics today of the ‘freak’. The pics don’t even really show how broken up and airy it is. It’s a bunch of fingers. It’s so heavy it’s sideways.

One plant I last watered 6 days ago and the meter says the soil is still
‘Moist’. I use to have to water every 3 days at minimum.
Is this a sign that the end is near

Looks like it’s ripening a little. Checking daily. Rain is gone and sun is back.

Cut back water as you get closer to harvest, they drink alot less, say you in a 3 gal pot, water 2 litres or a tad more then they should need water again in about 3 days or so. Quick wet dry cycles are key to get big healthy plants. Yours look decent

I’ve been watering about 2 litres for a few weeks. I did Flush the plant last week though. I did see a lot more trichs after the flush.
Hitting the home stretch!
Thanks !!

These two are coming out this week. Starting to not take water and look like old. Trichs have improved.

Any techniques in last week that will help the yield or potency? Let soil dry? Dark room for 48 hours? I’ve read a lot of different wild things but curious to what you think?

Feels like you grew these girls down the stretch!! Thank you!

Take them before lights on ....

You want to it from processing sugar and starches so ...
technically you could move it to a dark place for ONLY the benefit of cutting on your OWN SCHEDULE ( say when you get home from work ) since it’s chillin in the dark. But there is little to no benefit to KEEP IT in the dark for days .

I pull the one that’s ready ..... AND pretrim it.
THEN ...
Leave it outside of grow tent til I get up for work , cut stalk and hang it on a coat hanger in a spare closet in the dark and leave it in there . You are trying to keep it from photosynthesis.

But there is many ways to harvest as others will chime in.

Bring an autoflower is the photosynthesis important?

Basically you are killing it in its sleep ..... like a ninja

But ... I do know there are some growers that chop whenever they want.
I guy I know near Sacramento ( grows no synthetic ) cuts them while with other plants in a greenhouse.
