Not sure, i have only been on the receiving end of ebay for awhile now but i have heard they are making changes to make things better for buyers so i'm not suprised to see there messing with people on the sellers end.

When you sell somthing, never except paypal. Ive sold hundred's of items, and once it was recieved by the buyer, he tired to complain so his funds would be released back to him. My money was on hold for 2 months while paypal told him to get your money back, you need to ship it back. They didnt want to pay shipping fee's and ended the claim. I almost was screwed. The item was in perfect order, they were just trying to scam. What A huge waste of time that could have been. Be carefull and never have your atm card/credit card linked to paypal. I use my old expired card so the accout stays open, and If ever need to pay for somthing. Ill add it and delete it again. Good luck!

I hate Pay Pal, I hate it!!!!!

They did the same thing to me, held funds. I called them and had the hold lifted. It took a good hour out of my time, but, I got it lifted. It is BS, and they know it!! Call and bitch bitch bitch...

naw no joke they got scammers so they waiting until that pos feedback or like 30days pass without a buyer's dispute comes then they are released.

Do you mean moneys held up due to a scammer starting a claim tho?
Once a claim is started paypal withholds your funds. This claim could be anything. The product could be perfect and they still can claim anything they like. But for them to get paypal to release the funds back they have to return the product. I never accect paypal anymore. I only use it to buy things. That way if its a pile of shit. I can escalate to a claim and then send it back.

Well thats a joke if you got good feedback like me, its bad enough having to wait the 5 working days for it to transfere to my bank account, without having to wait 30 days also for somone to leave me good feedback after they have spent 3 or 4 days pondering if its worth leaving bad feedback on the chance they might scam there money back! this has well and truley fuked up my ebay business!

yea it blows they hold it even if that buyer's dispute isn't opened.
And if you sell popluar items they might hold them too.

Pay-pal used to be great a couple year's back but now they got so many scammers they have to do this shit.

I haven't ever heard of that. Theres no way they put a hold on fund untill feedback was left. I never leave feedback and lots of buyers in my experience haven't either and Ive still got my funds. I dont know in your case, but I never will accept paypal ever again. Im sick of the fee's for their shitty customer support and helpfulness. They are stingy bastards. I fuck them over.

if you don't have like a certain amt of pos feedback they will they say it right before you list the item.

I was on the phone to them today (some indian call centre, like they dont make enough money for nothing to pay someone right, who i can actually understand!) and they say this is a new measure they hav introduced to protect buyers, what about protecting the sellers?? fair enough if sellers out there are scamming people, but surely they can look at my feedback and see i have v-good feedback and am a genuine person. In my eyes they have opened an whole new door to scammers, that wouldn't normaly try scam ya, Fuck em anyway i have removed PayPal from my ebay and only accept other forms of payments, i will lose alot of sales, as i sell car parts and 99% of people need them like yesterday, and havn't got the time to wait for cheques to clear.. But no way am i willing to spend money out of my own pocket to fund the postage for items im prob not gonna get paid for, or have to wait weeks for them to leave feedback.
