I have a tube just like that, only 18" Long though, but it fits 6 zips, and I use 3-4 of the 420ml whipt it butane cans. When I blast I get a good 1000ml of liquid in my dish, I don't know how one would blast directly onto a small parchment big enough to fit into my chamber after.

Material is always buds - not primo high end dense super crystally perfectly grown buds, but no leafy trim or stemmy stuff.

I let the butane evap until there is no liquid ( i can turn dish sideways and nothing moves), then scrape onto parchment.
I have always gone to full vac, and temps are 100-15F. It tends to sugar/wax up a few hours in.

I thought it was the waxes, and was told to try winterizing with ethanol, so I did that, freezing ethanol mixture in jar at -6F for a week and ran through 2.5 micron filter. During the purge it sugared waxed up again though.

Like I said I have gotten some batches to work out.

2 things I will be trying and focusing on is
A) putting buds in dehydrater and removing all water in buds, then packing into the tube and sealing up the ends before putting into the freezer for 24 hours. My buds are dry before, I just want to focus on removing any possible water.
B) not putting buds into food processor and grinding. When I put them in the tube and squish them in, if they area really dry they will bust up enough to create lots of surface area and give a good yield.

At full vac , THC boils off at a really low temp. I can find the chat if you want.

I take a big SS bowl n take a piece of PP n shape it into it, 1000ml is no problem.
After I blast , I put it in a bigger bowl of hot water n let cook off, then shape ,
Bring to 95-100 in chamber , then pull 15-20hg , then keep bumping till im at 29.
Keeping temps 105ish.

THC vaporizing I don't think is an issue (share the link tho I will read it), everything is super potent, its just the texture is not clear and glass like. I think the vacuum pressure, and purge temps, blasting temps of material and Butane, purging technique etc Ive got down. I think it is material related that is causing this, and thats one thing I can't do too much about since I just have what I have to turn to shatter! But I can focus on how dry it is, and not over blending it.

I have talked to people a lot more advanced then myself, and they have said some strains will not go to a glass like state.

Thanks for the links, Ive read a fair amount from skunk research, possibley that article as well, Cant remember! As far as THC vaporizing off, I don't think I was getting that 100% VAC. I don't think my guage is accurate, im at 1500M elevation, and it says 26. I think full va at this level is 28, so im pretty close. Close enough, because as you go higher everything else boils off lower as well, so you just need enough to allow you to purge out solvents at the 95-115F range

I have also read a lot that some strains simply wax/sugar.

As long as the night temps comply and I can keep the humidity down, I'll go as long as I can. Found some bud rot due to dehu quitting during these hot temps. Got a new dehu now but still leary after finding that and checking it all the time now. I'd rather harvest good smoke a bit early then lose it all to rot.
