well if you dont want your house reeking then i would not suggest flowing the air into there.. how big attic space is there? and it might be good to open the door to the attic at least once a day so the air dosent staginate.

right ive got a carbon scrubber and rvk fan so could i exhaust the hot air back in to my house or should i let it fill my attic instead or would that make more trouble coz of mold and such thank you everyone

if your attic has a turbine vent then vent it there...most houses that have ridge vents have vents in the soffits also for circulation...if you have soffit vents you may can vent there...either way a roof has to have some kind of vent

ya im faced with the same problem in my attic grow im about to set up... im going to put a layer of lead on top of my grow so the FLIR cant pick it up but do you think the FLIR can pick up the exaust blowing out vent in roof?... keep in mind my cabinet is small... max 2 plants at 250 watts.

rather than exhaust outside i have just left mine at the side of the tent and the heat aint nothing big from a 400w hps just like a hair dryer being on also with it being winter everyones heating is on so i am guessing that if flir looks it wont look too dodgy thank you everyone:leaf:

Seriously, don't worry about FLIR. Assuming you have less than 2000 watts of lighting, I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. FLIR is used to catch those giant grow houses like on Weeds, not little attic grows.

Exhaust it right outside the tent, then you can install an attic fan that fits right over whatever type of vent there is in your attic. This way, the heat the comes out, isn't as concentrated and the noise level is down. You don't want to exhaust into the house, hot air naturally rises, so trying to push it down, is creating resistance. No matter what, the hot air will find itself going up, unless your house is flawlessly sealed, which most aren't.
As for the filter, if you're at 12/12 already, your obviously in bloom, keep it on 24/7!

Exhausting into the house is probably not a good idea unless there's AC and the smell is undetectable. However, the resistance due to convection is so small it would be negligible if there was a fan opposing it.
