The White House Allegedly Has A Marijuana Smear Squad. Cannabis Experts Say Bring It On.

"On Wednesday, BuzzFeed News reported that the White House has “secretly amassed” a committee of federal agencies meant to “combat public support for marijuana and cast state legalization measures in a negative light” while also “attempting to portray the drug as a national threat,” based on interviews and documents acquired by BuzzFeed.

According to the report, the White House’s so-called Marijuana Policy Coordination Committee instructed leaders at the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and 14 other federal agencies last month to submit data “demonstrating the most significant negative trends” in cannabis use and legalization efforts."

Trump would gut anything if he thought it would get him a nickel, a poke or a vote.

As several states have approved laws allowing adults to use and purchase cannabis, critics have contended lax attitudes will promote drug abuse, particularly among youth, and they have pressed for a federal crackdown. The White House at one point said more pot enforcement would be forthcoming, though President Donald Trump has never said he was onboard with that agenda and he announced in June that he "really" supports new bipartisan legislation in Congress that would let state marijuana legalization thrive.

However, the committee’s hardline agenda and deep bench suggest an extraordinarily far-reaching effort to reverse public attitudes and scrutinize those states. Its reports are to be used in a briefing for Trump “on marijuana threats.”

“There is an urgent need to message the facts about the negative impacts of marijuana.”

“Staff believe that if the administration is to turn the tide on increasing marijuana use there is an urgent need to message the facts about the negative impacts of marijuana use, production, and trafficking on national health, safety, and security,” says the meeting summary.

toad you so.

The sad fact about this, doublejj, others kept telling Trump supporters this administration was going to turn back the clock on legalization or at least try to.

I believe there is no stopping the legalization steamroller that has started to roll downhill.
They may/will try over the next 10 years or so but the people have spoken... it's coming.
Personally I could care less. It will change nothing in my world.
If they legalize it on a federal level taxes will be levied on all growers.
Then they want to tell you how many plants you can have??? in my opinion that's not legalization but regulation.
Fuck That!

Trump sucks. At everything. He's a sorry sonofabitch not worthy of balls. He'll never even measure up to shine Obama's shoes. This is not about each man. It's about arrests, lawyers bills, funds stolen by the government along with any assets they could find from homes to motorhomes. Businesses unrelated to cannabis but owned by someone who had an interest in legal medical marijuana. It happened . It's history .
