Broke a kola, need help quick!

Ahhh I was moving my plant back into the grow room after watering and I caught one of the top kolas on the door jam and it snapped partway off. It's still hangin by a pretty good piece of plant matter, it kind of split vertically down the center of the stem but more towards the branch. I wish i could get a pic but my SD card reader isn't working.

I tied it back on as it was still attached to the plant. Does it have any chance of healing itself? It was literally hanging off by the part of the stem it pulled away with it. It tied together really well and flush against the part it ripped away from, is it going to graft back on or should I just cut it off before I make the plant sick? They are only 1 week into flower. Should I just top the whole thing and let the branches on the next nodes down be the main kolas? Let me know what will be best for my plant/yield please!

Figures the day before I get paid and I'm going to buy drainage equipment so I can water in the grow room that I do this. ARRGHH

i have broken them and taped em and they healed fine. i dont know how severe yours is but it could heal if its not broken completely.

What kind of tape did you use? All I have right now is guerilla tape and I don't want to kill it by poisoning it or something heh. Maybe if I put a piece of cloth or paper between the plant and the tape?

i used scotch tape right on the plant. as soon as i took the tape off when it had healed, i dropped something on it and broke it again lol. and i just got done breaking a branch again tonight and taping it with duct tape right before i logged on and found this thread.

Thanks alot mk! I'll be able to get some sleep tonight then cause I won't be busy mentally kicking myself over it. Guess it's a lesson learned eh? First grow, been learning alot of lessons the hard way.

Ive twisted a plant once in the flowering room and a nice large side branch went down. I slung it up with a shoe lace and she finished perfectly. It should survive if its not completely severed and you can fix the break. I would be cautious of tape since it could be toxic but I have used it with out a problem once on a outdoor crop. Goood luck!

Rose tape would work great I suppose, thats what im going use if I ever encounter this problem ever again. You could try it see how it works. It wont harm plants.

has anyone had recovery from very early growth? damaged my only durban poison bean seedling like a total wanker - we both went rather limp :/
i propped up to keep contact as much as possible and sorta taped 1 half while a little bit damp rockwool resting on the other side ( trying to keep it from drying bla bla)
if it was anything else i probably wouldnt care , was just lookin forward to the poison the most , medicly had good reports and dont wanna know when to give up really!

I dropped a 9 inch fan clean on top of a plant, it was completely flat, snapped and mangled!! I staked and taped it and it was sound, infact once it had repaired it self it was the strongest one in there, dont worry.

I'd recommend honey and bandaging it. Did it heal up OK Smokealot?

not expectin an overnight fix but, does seem to have more moisture above the point of damage so im stayin positive , also tryin to get ma hands on honey ( why is it when u need something youve run out!?)

i have broken probably 50-100 branches colas etc. i have broken them to the point where they are hanging on by a thread. i bend colas a lot to train them. i have used whatever tape is laying around, scotch, electrical, duct, etc. they have always healed back with success and become stronger for it.

I used aluminum foil to hold it up until mine healed, It looked like a ghetto ass set of rabbit ears for a week or so but it ended up fine.

if you break a plant before its flowering just leave it alone. dropped over cause if will heal itself, in flower tape sounds about right

im sorry to keep bringin this back im just still shitting it u see , seems to have got a bit dry above the point of damage again - though the roots are looking healthy and still growing ( duno if thats a seedling thing )
changed my damp rockwool bits iv used as a dressing but whats the likelyhood of her recovering at such an early stage in life?
contemplating a little foliar feeding incase its not getting through REALLY cant be losing my princess poison
