Today's topic is: what's the use of civil discourse with somebody who doesn't know anything and just believes what they are told by Trump?

please be civil.
Civil discourse is impossible when we’re dealing with racist liars like the piss chugging OP

His call for civil discourse is his cuck way of begging not to be called a racist liar

But if you insult him he won't vote for Bernie. Maybe he'll vote for Gillum if you tippy toe around his racism and belief in right wing propaganda.

When I called you an ignoramus, I meant it in the literal sense. No insult was intended.

The only post you've made that fits your ability to converse was said here:

It just about sums up everything you've said thus far.
Get honest. Big love.

Feel free to comment on today's topic.

He did not. The order was for offshore drilling.
If it was for offshore drilling alone, why does it direct Zinke to review the National Parks 9B rules with the option to suspend, revise or rescind them.

Given Zinke's past, skepticism on the part of environmentalist, certainly seems warranted.

I believe that authority rests with the congress when it comes to the national parks. The national monuments seem to be under more threat at this time. I disagree with trump strongly on this issue. Thank you for the articles.

I very honestly am asking the question: Why would anybody wish to try to engage in civil discourse with a person who can't understand and simply repeats the right wing's canon.
I'm telling you that you are labeling me and attempting to dismiss me, and that you should grow up. I care what you think about today's topic.

We had a long discussion yesterday. In the end, you said it yourself, you agreed that the science behind global warming was plausible and yet you just believe what somebody else said without a good reason. You don't investigate for yourself, you believe what right wing sources tell you without question and reject alternatives. It's called the Fox News effect which came from a study that showed people became more ignorant after watching Fox News.

Definition of ignoramus

: an utterly ignorant person

plural ignoramuses also ignorami play \ˌig-nə-ˈrā-mē also -ˈra-\

Why should anybody conduct civil discourse with an ignoramus?

I refer to our civil discourse on global warming as an example of why you remain an ingnoramus. You aren't necessarily stupid you just are utterly ignorant and you aren't seeking out knowledge. You reject knowledge when it conflicts with your preconceived notions. The proof is all there, laid out in our discussion in this thread on 8/30/2018

I'm not using the word ignoramus as an insult or label. I'm using the word to describe you.

Hey, how about this topic. Isn't it great?

Why would anybody engage in civil discourse with a person who can't understand and simply repeats the right wing's canon?

Travis's post specifically points to articles that discuss slashing the size of national parks in Utah to allow drilling. Address that.

Why would anybody engage in civil discourse with a person who can't understand and simply repeats the right wing's canon?

The title of the article says parks, but if you read it, it's about the president using his authority over national monuments, which I disagree with. I think the authority aught to rest with the congress, as it does with the national parks.

Today, tomorrow and the next day:

Why would anybody engage in civil discourse with a person who can't understand and simply repeats the right wing's canon?

I'd reply back but I have to ask: Why would anybody engage in civil discourse with a person who can't understand and simply repeats the right wing's canon?

If you really believe that, and are opposed to civil discourse with me, I suggest that you should go comment somewhere else. You are wasting the time of everyone who reads this thread.

I just disagreed with Donald trumps position. Then there was silence for over two hours. Now Im accused of "repeating the right wing canon."

Just a reminder, today's topic is: Are the national parks a good idea? What are the biggest threats to our national parks?
