i plan to retire in tassie in the not to distant future, not sure where yet. there has to be a good river to fish for bream close by and i dont really want to be in the city. any of you tassie guys fisherman by any chance?

i was thinking somewhere on the east coast like scamander or st helens
I used to fish often but haven't the last few years and do miss it. Mainly trout since moving down here but used to fish the Hawksbury often when I lived in Smogney.
St Helens area is a pretty popular spot, lots of fish and cray fish, big sheltered waters to. Coles Bay right down the bottom of the East coast is a fav spot of mine. Still very isolated and "undiscoverd" despite wine Glass bay being such a well known beach.

The Tassie RIU BBQ In the Lakes should get a good crowed if it ever happened.

oh and whats travel to melbourne like?
Book in advance and flying to melb can be had for as little as $39 one way from Launceston. If spur of the moment they get ya for $250 ish. Car Ferry is not badly priced out of season considering, as long as your not towing a trailer.
We normally fly to melb and use sky bus or if heading out to the lakes district hire a car. Saves allot of time as the ferry trip takes allot of time (and money at the bar..)

Scamander and st Helen's are top spots, just stay away from the west coast and you cant go wrong
See, I don't mid the west coast. Waterfalls in the middle of towns, Corrina is just beautiful, Strahan is a fisherman's and a hermits play ground. House boat for sale there atm for $50k!

Pineapple chunk microscope shots.... there is abit of white hairs still coming through... I’m thinking another day or two, if you don’t have a USB microscope that works on your iPhone your missing out on the fun

I know that 3rd pic is very amber.... I’m in two minds to chop or not to chop?

Looks tasty. But what if you neither have an iBone or a USB microscope?
