Yes you can yeild 1oz per plant with a 250hps. I yeilded a QP with a 150watt hps and 4 45 watt cfl my first grow. Under the same lighting I grew out a skunk 1 clone that yeilded 22 gm. Its not about how much light, but how you use the lighting. Cool that 250 as much as possible and ventilate good. You should be able to get the light withing 6 inches of the plant. And reflection reflection reflection.

hey guys, I have'nt bought a light yet but im thinking about this 70watt HPS security light i saw for $40, my cabniet is small 19''x17''x6' i only want one plant for personal. will the 70watt give me enuf? say an 1oz?
Yes,but you must use yeild increasing tec to maximize yeild. I forgot to mentin in my earlier post that all my plants are tied down extremely and grown with a longer veg cycle than most .

Haha indeed THE link! I look at it often for motivation. I am about to dive into a 250 digital... I have a nice cab to work with. Got plenty of cfl's for Vegg'in and to add if I want to the 250.
plan on doing 2 hempy bucket's and scrog'em.
I kinda have gotten away from this forum. Just seem's when somebody who wants to use a 250 and has questions get's the same answer's. GET A 400 , dont waist your time with a 150 or 250 etc... That link serves as proof of what's possible.
