you know thats been done over and over and over, right?

growmau5 did video after video with full metrics on g/W, g/SF, and g/kWH over flowering cycle

there have been literally too many growers to count here who have reported exceeding 1.2 g/W routinely. The best do 1.7 g/W and up

What amazes me, is that the yodaweeds of the world will continue to argue with people who made the switch and have experienced the benefits. Being able to double your grow area with the same power consumption, not needing ac, not replacing bulbs etc.
I'm about to build my 4th light, 16 2' EB's with a MW480h. Going to crush.

You doubled your grow area with the same wattage.
What area did you cover with your HID before you switched?
What area do you cover with the same wattage?

Hi! Everybody talk about pound but we should talk in gpw!!! Gpw is a good scale but there is so many factor we should take in consideration! First vegg time: you can't compare a grow with 4 weeks vegg and one with 2 or 3 month vegg! Second CO2 same you can't compare a grow with and without! Third a/c same here you can't compare a conditioned environment and a natural one fourth you can't compare an organic grow in soil to an hydroponics system!
Give a 400w HPS to a newbie and 400w of the cheapest good COB...if he is not too lazy and get the good information and advice MAYBE he will pull 0.5gpw with hps but he will be close to 1gpw with led!
So please could you add vegg time and your full set-up to be able to compare Apple to apple(I guess that what you say in English) because pull 1.5gpw with 4/5 weeks vegg no a/c no co2 no elite clones in organic soil is not the same than getting 1.5gpw with 3 month vegg and every equipment possible!
Have a lifted one and lots of good vibes from France growers

I've done it. 6lbs and 9.5 ounces in a 4x8 tent with 1550 watts of citizen 1212 cobs(32 of them) plus under canopy lighting which was a very inefficient waste of 300-400 watts and I don't think added any weight since they were pointed up at the canopy from underneath which turned out to be a waste and I later learned sideways works better. Strain was exotic genetics future, plant count was I believe 16, and 1200ppm co2. I don't grow in tents anymore but I averaged around 5 units per tent..
Hi! You mean you use cobs to enlight your plant under the leaf?(sorry I am French and my English is not perfect...i would say good:eyesmoke:)
Have a lifted one :fire:

I had a 1000w over a 4x4. It's getting the same or better results with 375 of kill o watt measured diy led. I'd pop the circuit with two thousand watters. Heck I tried adding a 600 and that popped it. Now I have a mom tent in addition to the flower on the same circuit and am still not close to what I was using up before.
I'm building another light with a mw 480h to see how the flower area responds with a little more power. Now, as a disclaimer, I've learned a lot more about how to treat the ladies properly so me saying that I've grown my best to date under the leds isn't a very scientific, rock solid, "this is the be all end all" thing. But I'm very happy with them.
