Drying Serious Seeds White Russian #1 AUTO - Advice Urgent!

Hello Fam! I am ready to harvest my plant, but I am in a little bit of trouble. Unfortunately I have no where to dry this harvest! My only options are in a Garage in So Cal where it gets to about 80 - 90 degrees with stale air or a dark refrigerator where I can turn the temperature up all the way, but still think it'll be around 50 - 55 degrees inside.

Any advice?!

I just harvested an auto in Oregon where it is routinely in the 90s and I put the plant in a paper shopping bag to slow the drying. If you just hang it in a low humidity, hot garage, it will dry too fast leaving you with that "hay" smell and taste.

Yes, it's in the garage. The bag helps maintain higher humidity. 70 degrees and 50% humidity are nice targets but seem out of the question with your options.

I see okay, so then my best option is paper bags if my temps are going to be as high as 80. Did you hang them in the paper bags, or just harvest and put it inside?

I only recommend paper bags or boxes if your humidity is low like mine. If you have 50% humidity just hang the plant. I just stuck the bag on a nail in my garage wall. My main harvest will come in October when I don't have to worry about quick dries.

Yeah, I mean the humidity on weather says about 50% - 55% with temps around 89 - 95. However, in my garage it's really stuffy since no air flow is happening and the temps will be about the same. I'm assuming if the outside has humidity so will the inside of the garage? How long do you think the quick dry will go for? I have a room with perfect temps to cure. I'm just hesitating and want to understand if quick drying will completely ruin the herbs or if I'll be able to sustain it.

You do not want a quick dry. Drying should take about a week until it is ready to cure. Indoors sounds best in your situation. Once you dry it too quickly, you cannot go back and correct it.

I have been using cardboard fruit crates covered with larger fruit crates sitting on top of a fridge. It helps to have a fan on, but not blowing right on them. {I wash my bud, so have to have air flow} Then brown paper bags after a couple of days on the trays.
