Upgraded! Finally...

Alright so I finally upgraded! Went from my 2x2x4 tent with a 300w Viparspectra, yeah I know...

Got a 4x2x6 tent, just got it in the mail not even an hour ago, about to set it up! It's this tent to be exact.

Question: What would be a good carbon filter kit to add to my tent?

Obviously I need something with enough cfm for a 4x2x6, but not sure on what brands or kind to buy? Looking for a fan that is quiet of course! Looking to spend no more than $200.

Also just now ordered my 300w Samsung LED Strip light! So it should be here hopefully by the weekend if not next week for sure. Big shout out to @nfhiggs for selling such great products for a low price! Nothing fancy but man am I excited to have some great LED lights to throw in my new tent! Almost ordered a QB288 V2 135w for $200 but it just doesn't make sense when I can get "nearly" the same lights for the same price but 3x more diodes...

Got this light here...

Will be using my 2x2x4 and Viparspectra 300w for a veg light/tent.

Hope this led is everything people say it is! Hopefully no more fluffy "airy" buds, man that viparspectra sucks for flowering...

Would you use these lights for veg also?
If I grow a flat canopy in a 4x4 with 1000hps, how many of these lights would I need to effectively replace my hps? What is the selling point here with this light vs hps? If my ventilation is efficient, tent is dialed in and there is no downside for me personally to use mh for veg and hps for flower, (other than electric bill), would buying these lights benefit me?

I’m beating myself up about whether to just stick to hps or switch to these or qbs I just don’t know how much of a move up It really is

Honestly I can’t say too much as I’m new and never used HPS. It would take 2x of those 300w lights or 600w to fill a 4x4. And 600w of qb or strips would be plenty considerating they use the same 561/301 diodes. Other than electric bill and heat I’m not sure how much more beneficial it is as far as the actual plants themselves go, as far as yield/etc. @nfhiggs might be able to shed some light on your question better than I could.

This where a grower needs to weigh the cost/benefits factor. My neighbor has been using HID for years and she's got it reasonably dialed in. She has been asking me about my led rigs I've built and it comes down to this-you can get the same amount of light(photons) using less wattage(power) by using leds that are more efficient than HID fixtures. That's the real advantage-BUT if you already have your system dialed, run it.

Two of the 300W lights will fill a 4x4 pretty well. PAR output at 600W is about 1425 uMol/s, kind of right in the middle between a 600W HPS and a 1000W HPS.
