Bud Candy overpriced garbage?

I think AN is a good nutrient line but all of the extras arent necessary. I just use micro grow bloom which cost 40 bucks for a liter of each and lasts the entire grow so I dont really consider that expensive.

imo any fert that targets cannabis , is over priced, the npk is always simular to what u can buy in any garden supplies, I refuse to spend $$ on fert coz it has a hooter leaf on the bottle, I think its all a big con , but each to there own
I agree. The cannabis nutrient industry has done a great job of marketing watered down chemical salts and other inexpensive ingredients. They take a dimes worth of product, put it in a cool looking bottle with a fancy label and sell it for a thousand times what it cost. I just laugh at the people that think they need cannabis specific nutrients. Cannabis is just another plant. The Marijuana Problems section has plenty of examples of people spending astronomical amounts of money on overpriced products only to end up with crappy plants.

Calcium nitrate, monopotassium phosphate, and micronutrients are all that is needed to grow excellent healthy plants in any grow medium or growing method from soil to hydro when using chemical salt based nutrients. All of which can be had for pennies on the dollar compared to the same chemicals watered down and put in cool looking bottles and marketed to people that don't know any better. AN and all the other overpriced nutrient companies are more about marketing than anything else.

Totally agree xtsho the main problem is he mental attitude un suspecting growers have , that cannabis requires special nutes, which as U & I know is all crap, IMO keep it simple , a highr N for the veg stage & reduce the N & increase P&K for flower, & leave your $$$$ I your pocket, not the hydro shops pocket

Another problem I see is brogrowers who bought into the whole AN 20 part line or whatever it is, and just loudly spout bullshit about how great it is and necessary all the parts are, and new people suck that up. It works alright, there are just a LOT better ways to get the same results. But its not their fault they dont know any better. we all started from nothing at one point.

Agree on the base notes but what are your thoughts moving on past base with things such as amino acids to boost terp production?

my plants don't smell like cotton candy yet, lol. I thought it was to replace the Big Bud and Carbo Load, Im trying that lil bitty bottle size this time, not sure yet if I can tell a difference, but Im keepin it kinda light on the dose, just in case. Molasses is still the cheapest route, but look out for pecker gnats, I tried bat guano this time also, just a lil and i think the plants liked it also. I'll have to give an update when this round all done.

Thoughts?
If the bottle says Advanced Nutrients on it, you're getting ripped off. PERIOD. These are the fucking clowns who charge $89.95 for a quart bottle of epsom salts in solution.

Jacks or Chem Gro, both are commercial greenhouse grade dry nutrient salts for hydroponics. You'll save a shocking amount of money for exactly the same nutrients and you'll know a lot more about what you're actually feeding your plants.

Word to the wise; if it's a nute in a bottle, you're paying too much.

You can do the SAME SHIT with unsulphered molasses, cane sugar , honey or some simple sugar extract. It only makes the myco in your soil happy - like junk food. Plant will pull some sugar but NO WAY enough to change the terp profile or “ make a mid strain a premium “ ...

Lol.

Utter nonsense. If you that hard up to use SWEETNERS , Flavor boosters , terpinator or unicorn cum .... just make a simple tea or solution ( water , kelp , 1 tsp molasses ) and do in between waterings.

Questing for you and answer yes or no to if you have used any of the following:

Ionic?
Flora Nova?
Botanicare Pure Blend Pro?
Master Blend 4-18-38?
Hydro-Gardens 4-18-38?
Peters Professional 5-11-26?

Please STOP saying that all nutrients are the "SAME" - they are not and I can assure there is notable difference in your crop with each of the products I have mentioned above

Molasses is very under rated for the qualities it holds , 600 grms of organic molasses , is about 10-12$ 1 teaspoon twice a week, sure beats the hell out of any bottle of Epsom salts with a dash of flavouring, & a pretty tag, (oh & don't forget the leaf on the bottle, !!!!!) IMO

Ok so let's have your opinion about which ones work best and why.

Basic chemistry says the plants need the same 26 nutes, all else is proportions and availability.
