Oh. Thats nothing new. Mainlining is easily one of the best techniques in the book. Nuggbuckets has a good tutorial in the advanced sub(he is the one that inteoduced it) and Grow weed easy has a good tutorial on their site. Harder than topping with autos cause not alot of veg but ive seen some claim they did it. Never cared to check cause i feel i know better with how long it takes in photos. Just cant be done in 2-3 weeks from auto.

It makes them all uniform and the buds all take in the same amounts of nutes so they are all big donkey dicks cause you remove all lower stuff and offshoots except the main 8(what most shoot for but can have more just takes longer). Ive seen 10oz or more on a 8 cola plant. Let me link to Nuggbuckets thread.

I lost several tops to bud rot but still ended up with over 8 ounces.
Now is your setup basically what i thought, automated Hempy? I have grown Hempy and my 1st attempt i used 100% perlite and got algea on top. Had little green "hoppers" think they were called. Liked them better with coco.

100% perlite
nice, I seen the setup kind of in a couple pics, are you going to be using that same method for this grow? I seen you said 18gal. tote so.
for the Dutch Bucket, what size pump were you using? it looks like a pretty straightforward system. How is the difficulty of growing?

Yeah, same method just a bigger container. I'm not sure of the pump size, its a small one, maybe 60 GPH?

I have found this method to be amazingly easy and trouble free so far(knock on wood). Just mix up a couple bottle of nutes, and keep the recycling reservoir full. I usually top it off once or sometimes twice a day.

Yeah, Hempy is very similar, sort of a bastardized version of the Dutch bucket. I usually get some algae on top if I don't block the light, but it does not really seem to hurt anything.

Yeah, wasn't even a lime green it was so faint, but the bugs(only ones ive ever had) made me get rid of it. It was a photo only about 3-4 weeks of veg so i was fine with it.

Awesome, It looks ridiculously simple your set up. Is it continuous feed? or do you have the pump on a timer. Ive tried looking up some videos and have the basic concept down.
The water level of the bucket, do you keep it right above the outlet of the bucket or how much water do you put into the system before you start cycling?

Its on a timer, but there's been times I've left it running for a couple of days with no ill effects.

The outlet elbow keeps it at a relatively constant level unless they drink faster than I top it off.
