Hey guys just got some few kinds of auto flower and I'm trying to line up the switch of rooms I did bunch of research on how long they take so do I germ then count from first leaves then wait for first sign of flower then switch nutes and count days of flower ? So a 10 week is more like 13 weeks ? Thanks for any clarification

You should research more. The first day is the day it breaks out of the soil. Also photo plants are different than auto. Auto plants list the days it takes from start to finish. If a auto says 10 weeks, its 10 weeks to break soil, seedling stage, veg, pre flower, stretch, flower and harvest.

What the breeder says is perfect garden conditions. You easily can need more than what they say cause you peobwbly wont be growing the exact way as they did. I have 2 autos that most people chop around 70 days. Mephisto says they are 70-80 days. Mine are day 73 now and probably going to 80 days. All depends how you grow. Soil takes longer than coco and Dwc is the fastest. Low tier/not enough lights can make them go longer. Nutrient problems. Bugs. Heat. Training. All plays a role. With autos unless you stress them they should be close to what the breeder says.

Ahh that makes sense I never really thought about what they would be growing in would be awesome if they had that kind of info posted for each type of growing and yeah my condition been getting little hot even with a/c has been reaching 29 alot but using soiless mix promix hp and won't be training anymore until I understand how to keep it healthy until the end. Thanks for the straight forward answers man

No problem. I use coco, so soiless as well. They will always grow faster than soil. Just ask if you've got any questions. There will be good people to help you out.

Oh right on well I think I'll start a journal with this next set I'm quick learner but I find it hard to understand exactly what the plant needs and when everyone says what they using and I can find out what's in it but don't understand quite how each nute stacks and if there an equation I can figure out and ppm I got the meter still don't understand it all. so I'm just trying to find a standard set of nutes I can buy from start to finish.and I don't wanna be caught up spending too much just want simple set up until I understand exactly what it is and why I'm doing it so I can advance my grow so this next set I'm open to any info to a simple affordable way that doesn't involve anything auto watering lol anyway the journal seems like good place to start so I definitely keep you updated if there's anything line of nutes from start to finish if u get bored or don't mind sending to me, be much appreciated if I could send some trees to smoke I would lol take care

I don't ever uss cubes, i plant my seeds straight into final pot of coco after soaking in small glass of water for 24 hours max. Sometimes tail pops out and others not intill shes in the coco. You can put them in cups and transplant when your good pots come in, just be super careful because if you mess with the roots and stress them during the transplanting they could stunt and slow down.

Ok cool idea was to transplant before roots even make it to the cups plastic so they don't notice lol thanks man

Autoflower plants run different than photoperid plants, first off I timed the mean average from day 1 to finish, the mean average is 72 days, I leave my autos in veg until they top off and are in full flower this happens between day 50 and 60, at this time I flush all the base out ( not advice but I only feed base in veg ) and add flower base and Atami bloombastic acclimating up from half recommend dose per gal and put plants under a bloom booster, I have been growing autos for 8 years and you do not run them like a photoperid, put seeds in the pot u intend to grow in, while it's totally possible to transplant an autoflower dont, they don't like it expesiley if you never grew an autoflower, another thing although all strains are different autoflower plants tend to use a lot less nutrients and are easy to burn if you give to much or over feed, do not cut corners on your medium, I recommend ffof, pearlite, and clay or growstones for drainage, good drainage is imperative, make shure you buy your seeds stock from a reputable breeder if possible not a bank, leafy is another resource you can use to get info on the strain you intend to grow, it will give allot of info on your specific plant, once you get the hang of it it's great fun but you have to do your homework.

Im gonna ask only because its what i do. Ive seen you multiple time say you leave your plants in veg when talking about autos. Autos veg and switch to flower on their own no matter what light schedule or grow or bloom nutrients are being used. What are you stating here?

Also McStrats has a big aweaome topic here in the auto section all about successfully transplantinf autos called "So you can't transplant autos".

Ok, I do things a bit different, when i grow my autos in veg it's under a full spec light as I said I only feed base, I leave my plant in this state until she tops off and is in full flower, usaly between day 50 & 60, at this point and yes it sounds insane but I put my autoflower to flower, I do this by flushing the food base, then I add flower base & Atami bloombastic then I put my plants under a different spectrum full bloom, this gives your flower structure, greatly enhances bud size, and turns your plant well into a nice big plant, if I did this right you should see a pic of a northern light at day 37, I will keep her in the state she is in until at least day 50 minimum, flush, add flower base and agent and then change light spectrum, get it?

And yes you can transplant an autoflower, but I don't advise it, in the first place why? Put your bean in the pot your going to grow your plant in and just let it run, they have genreley a weaker root system than a photoperid, but why stress your plant unnecessarily?? I stress mine enough on my own, while in some cases you may have used to small a pot and are forced to transplant, but I allways do my strain homework and have a pretty good idea how tall my plants are going to be and pick my pot accordingly, I never had to transplant, oh and that northern light, allready showing trichome at day 37.
