Lol like you? Hows that going for you "bro"You seem to be especially talented at collecting enemies.
Too bad you aren't so skilled at actually growing anything.

Because I'm running soil now dude. Your not paying any attention your just rambling. Before you butted into the conversation, I was saying in the PAST I ran hydro and loved my dwc results, but eventually the noise started to bother me and so I moved to soil. I'm happy with my soil results, but if I found the right AIRPUMP I'd possibly go back. Now for pages you've been trying to convince me to do hydro without air pumps and setting for what your happy with. Please dude, you do you. Dont expect me to go down that path though. You've still yet to produce a single pic of what yours look like.
Why don't you use a Linear Air Pump. hailea, air force just to name a few.Because I'm running soil now dude. Your not paying any attention your just rambling. That's what was suggested to me by the guy I was talking to before you started posting. I thanked him, and that was the end of the conversation. Why don't you use a Linear Air Pump. hailea, air force just to name a few.
Looks like some led fanboys brought the attitude over to the hydro section so hopefully you still get my reply and it has some shred of helpfulness to it -You dont happen to know of any really great air pumps that are nearly silent do you? That's like 90% of what's holding me back from going hydro again. I really do miss it in a lot of ways
i thought it was funny the guy recommending a waterfall. i use one in my res and it's noisier than any air pump i've ever run. lol. it makes me have to take a piss some times.Looks like some led fanboys brought the attitude over to the hydro section so hopefully you still get my reply and it has some shred of helpfulness to it -
Remember to also consider the noise that the air makes inside the bucket under water, not just the noise of the pump itself
Def! All of it together really is a lot. It may just be one of those things I've completely moved away from but is a fond memory ya know? If I could do moderation it may be differant but I'm that guy who can never just be "done" I'll end up with 5-10 air pumps an finally lose my mind lol.Looks like some led fanboys brought the attitude over to the hydro section so hopefully you still get my reply and it has some shred of helpfulness to it -

link or a pic? never heard of that before. What do you guys this about the open hose style air injection like "RootSpa" uses?
Seems to perform well, has nothing to clog, and reduces back pressure on your air pump extending it's life
that's why i love these drain to waste waterfarms. i know you said you used them: cut the blue hose about an inch above the white line and that becomes your drain. the auto-feed part is easy to build too. pump, timer, manifold, tubing. Now I'm married an I want to spend about as little time as possible with the plants
Ya, any good RDWC system I've ever seen was loud but I didn't really feel that was worth also bringing up.i thought it was funny the guy recommending a waterfall. i use one in my res and it's noisier than any air pump i've ever run. lol. it makes me have to take a piss some times.
what's the saying: opinions are like a-holes, everybody has one and some of them stink.

Your not MrMGR420 are you?Ya, any good RDWC system I've ever seen was loud but I didn't really feel that was worth also bringing up.
Truth be told I didn't even look at who posted the pictures when I tossed out the insult. I assumed it was someone else's photo an gave a honest assessment. If I had noticed it was his own photo I would have been kinder and for that I am sorry.
That being said its the vibration from the air pumps that always got to me most so I can see the motivation for that line of thought and I think theres good reason to do it that way. But it wouldn't work in the way I would ever want to do hydro again. Of all the styles of hydro I tried I had my vests results by far with dwc in 5 gallon buckets with micropore airstones. Isolated units. I wouldn't go back to multi plant res style grows for myself
I will be modifying my waterfarms with that method. i was just using 2 cheap-o stones per farm on a tee to an airpump.
NopeYour not MrMGR420 are you?
Ive been using 1/2" OD rubber washers from the plumbing section to make that connection myself. I believe they are 0 size.I will be modifying my waterfarms with that method. i was just using 2 cheap-o stones per farm on a tee to an airpump.
i'm guessing that seal between the 2 tubes has to be very tight/air tight??
