You can switch it to 12/12 but will slow down growth and more than likely begin naturally flowering reducing yield by ALOT. Why are you wanting to switch it 12/12?

It all depends on how much space you have.
The bigger the pot the bigger plant the bigger the yield. (Also depends on what strain)

Also wanna mention the more you change or play with the light cycle the more chances it can turn into a hermy.

But realistically put it into a 3-5 gallon pot let it grow 2-3 feet (if you have the space) and depending on what method you go with (LST,supercropping, topping, or fiming) Get a couple ounces. It’s all about patience. Keep it up

Most strains don't reach sexual maturity until 4-6 weeks. You will know by the staggered leaves that it is mature. No need to flip before then, as it won't flower until it is sexually mature.

You can flip to 12/12 when ever you wish to do so. Not sure what this guy is trying to sell you about sexual maturity, apparently he has never heard of the sea of green method. Most folks will let them get about 3 to 4 feet tall then flip, however like I just mentioned you can take clones and switch to 12/12 and they will flower. Plant growth will not slow down when you first put them into flower, in fact they will up to double in size in the first three weeks of flower, so keep that in mind in regards to space issues. After the surge meaning that initial jump in size in early flowering they will stop growing upward. In so far as pot size the general rule is that each gallon will support one foot of plant. So if you have a five foot plant you will need at least a five gallon bucket. Most people who grow indoor use 3 to 5 gallon pots. Hope all goes well man good luck.

Here is a 12/12 perpetual flower room with plants started from seed growing right through veg and flowering. They are staggered 1-2 weeks apart. Takes 4-5 weeks anyway.

Thought it might give a good representation of size and growth.
