Hypothetical grow notes

I split everything with my veg buddy, so I ended up with 13 plants. 6 of them @thenotsoesoteric gear. I put them all in the other holes in the FP patch. Blame me for any shortcomings you see. Give him any praise they might warrant.

Going to the west, TP #1 f2. {a slight brain fart on my part. When I did the split, I kept 1 TP #1's and 3 TP #3's, and the veg buddy got the opposite. I was rushed, but I wasn't high at the time}

Those were the easy ones. The other six holes had to be amended. I hate doing it the same day as I plant, but I just ran out of time. I mixed chicken shit, cow shit, coffee ground compost, 5-5-5, 3-4-3. soil acidifier, two kinds of lime, Epson Salts and vermiculite. {no blood or bone meal, since same day use} I mixed that with an equal amount of potting soil, and measured out 10 cup super charger packs for each hole. I had a 5 gallon bucket of soil mix stashed near the PP patches for some holes that I had thought about digging on the next land over. I broke it up and left 2/3rds there and took 1/3 to near the HG patches. Also left 4 plants near the PP patches and dropped the other two off near HG patches with buckets and backpack. I parked in a safe location, then hiked to the HG patches.

In the hole that I had just chopped the Possum Shunk 1.5 male, I added one super charger pack, 5/6th of a gallon of soil mix, and one Ass Cheese f2. {forgot to mention my newest piece of gear} This SOG entrenching tool is the real deal. Holes were already dug, but this thing worked like a champ. 12 bucks and change on Amazon.

The last time I hiked, I used my folding trowel to freshen up two small trenches and a hole that I had dug last summer. Worked pretty good. {I left ferts, seeds and water as gifts to the Gods} But that is in a creek bottom. When I had to dig about 8 new "cat" holes on higher and harder ground, it was a job of work. Blisters are just now healing up and hairing over. In places not caused by trekking poles.

Other new gear. {I have been on an Amazon binge lately} Bottle clip. There is a little too much swing when on the chest strap, but it's better than side pockets that are PITA getting bottles out and in. {I really should wake up that bushcrafting thread}

DSCF9221.JPGAnd my bug bivvie and polycro ground sheet. It wasn't hard to pitch, but it wasn't easy either. I didn't have a ridge-line, just tied off to the grommets. So the cord was lifting at an angle. From now on I will use a ridge-line with a loop in it.
