If you're seeing amber and milky how are you viewing them? All or most should be milky. Occasional amber doesn't mean ready.

If most are milky then they're ready. I suggest chopping one at a time and fully preparing it to dry and hanging it before chopping the next. Do one a day. You're not in a hurry I hope.

Those look like they could go another 2 weeks.
But you could probably chop them now as well.
If you seeing all Milky Trichs then you can chop.
But they will probably swell up more if you wait.
Thank you for your help. It’s my first grow and I am learning patience lol

Oh hey - as the above post said - the entire grow is wasted if you dont dry for like minimum 5 - 7 days
Try drying the buds slow and then after about 5 - 7 days they need to be Jarred (airtight)
Then you burp the jars daily for like 2 weeks (open the jars to burp them)
That will allow it to slowly cure to perfection.

Trust me. my first Harvest tasted kinda like burnt hay - if you dry too fast you will get Hay tasting weed.
If you dry real slow - get the RH% to like 65% and then put it in a jar and slowly get the RH to between 55 - 60%
You will have DANK!

So hang the buds for like 5 - 7 days.
Then when they start feeling a little crisp - throw them in a jar with a Humidity Reader.
Leave them for a few hours and then come back and check the RH on your humidity device in the Jar.
If its above 65% then they need to dry a bit more.
If its between 55 - 65% then its perfect and you just have to open the Jars Daily for like 1 hour until it hits the 60% RH mark.

Between 60 - 55% RH you can open it whenever - its cool at this point.
Once my bud hits the 60 - 55% range im smoking that shit and the jars open when i take some out.

the whole process should take like 1 week for Dry + 2 weeks MIN for cure.
The longer the buds in the Jar the GODDAMN better it gets. and i mean REMARKABLY better. You wont believe how that shit tastes after 3 months!

I dont think most people can cure for 3 months. but i harvest quite a bit at once - I start smoking after 2 - 3 weeks. So i still have a lot left at the 3 month mark. and at that point... it starts to taste godly...

Awesome tips man. I appreciate it. Quick question. Colorado is really dry and during my growing my humidity sometimes between watering can get down to about only 20%. Once I cut I plan to wet trim then hang in the same tent I grew in. (Plan to remove light and keep carbon Filter and fan going )but I’m concerned the 20% humidity will cause then to dry to fast. For curing I purchased wide mouth mason jars and Boveda packs as a backup for curing if things are to dry. Do you think the 20% humidity in the tent will cause drying problems?

You wanna jar yah buds up at 70% rh and burp every 16 hours or so for 5 mins, after u hit 65% rh in jar, leave it and only burp once for a min every 2 days or so

Hey man so would suggest that I add a himifier to my tent while they are hang drying? Typically in between watering (I water about every 4th day by hand). Once the pot it fully saturated and I see runoff I water a little more till I get about 30% runoff. Humiry stays about 40 the first day and second then will drop by that afternoon to about 20 and stay there until I water again. I’m guessing that I’m going to have ho have higher humity while they are hanging to dry before curing in tent?

you might need a humidifer for the best slow dry, 20 rh is very low for drying, keep the rh around 55 if u can
