Seeing a deficiency

Ok, but bear it in mind in later runs as the soil ages (and gets better).

The first run is Ok but nothing spectacular as all the slow release stuff is just starting to get going and the microherd is getting established and stuff is working out relationships. The second run is a big improvement over the first and by the third run, the soil is well aged, all the slow release stuff is fully releasing and everything is running on all cylinders. Then it truly starts to get amazing, mainly in how little you have to do other than water and top dress every now and then.

Do you, or, are you able to garden or grow anything outside? Doesn't have to be canna, just the ability to get out from under the lights and into the sun. It's a huge advantage with organics.

I'm actually quite surprised how aerated the soil is, when I was using FFOF, I struggled to sti k my finger in the soil.
This soil I have made, my finger kind of slides down (to check wetness) with ease, *that's dirty muaha*
I was growing tomatoes and such outside last year, but didnt plant anything this year.

Great! Here are two things that are significant for any organic growing.

First; Starting a worm bin. Having your own, homegrown, vermicompost is, IMO, the most significant thing you can do AFA organic growing in any form. Nothing else even really comes close.

Second; Having a comfrey patch. It's also known as "Land Kelp" for good reason. Once established, 5 or 6 harvest's per season is normal of a most excellent green manure. The majority of mine gets fed to the worms. Let them do the work and the composting, then just use the resulting VC as needed. You'll want the Bocking 14, a sterile variety as the common, wild plant is very invasive.

Do a bit of reading/research on these two things and see what you think.

Yes it is a potassium deficiency,, add more kelp and a lil epsom salt.

That's what I was thinking too. Looks pretty close. Seems the Epsom Salt may have helped. I may do another watering with it, the new growth coming in looks good so far. I transplanted ant topped them, getting them ready for Mainline.

I was going to start a worm bin, just not 100% sure that's what I want to do atm but I am definitely very interested in it. I was really close to pulling the trigger on it about a month ago.
I'll definitely have to look up a Comfrey patch. Thanks for the words of wisdom, much appreciated.

If your stems are still green, my guess is lack of K which will lockout Mg and then Ca.

True, but YOUR plant is deficient because of the LEDs.

You will see what i mean when the tips keep yellowing no matter how much epsom you feed.

i use this often, as a top dressing. you can dissolve it but the K takes a couple of days to completely dissolve, i prefer to just allow the water to carry it in as i feed through the week. a tsp a week on a ten gallon pot works wonders
