Ditching Spectrum King SK400+'s and buy latest LED - Worth it?

So yes.....having less wattage and a more efficient light.....would mean a better grow light.... this strictly comparing 400w hps to 315w cmh

So what they run cool then?
And the light that hits the leaves is also cool as well?

HPS puts out very little heat but a ton of light so im not sure what your on about here, is a 400watt light a good heater of air because maybe i should switch my house radiators and central heating system for a few 400watts and save a ton on the thermodynamics and costs of physics....

Fake news dude, no bright light is cool and lights are inefficient warmers of air FACT!
And I just re read my post , never said they run cool lol.....I said they produce minimal heat and put off less heat than a 400w. hps . confused where your getting this topic of using lights as a heating source?!?!

less wattage but the same amount of photons hmmm, id say the leaf feels the same thermodynamic heat from any light source of equal photons so not sure where your getting this less cooler light just on wattage, if a cmh is brighter the leaf will be hotter and need to use extra transpiration to equalize temps hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....

As said before both and all lights are very inefficient at heating air, are you saying different to science now?

And again i ask that some here show some comprehension of the physics behind light and heat, you are giving rubbish info saying one source of photons is cooler than the other, efficiency dosent much come into it unless your proposing that these lights heat air by some amount in which case i refer you to the threads ive done on air temps and extraction so we dont have this base info floating about on leds and cmh compared to a hps.

Hopefully ive made myself a little clearer and answered your concerns :-)

yeah that's the nice thing about 315w cmh. each fixture puts off small amount of heat. less than 400w hps though..
So you see what im repling too, now cmh is cooler than hps but i see very little difference in terms of growing as i use an EXTRACTION SYSTEM so my air temps are not linked to any light but to the air temps outside my tent.

Hmmmmm says Kingrow1, am i really on a site where zero physics takes place and we all run around saying the words efficiency and cooler for every light that isnt hps, fucking redundant!!!
