Thank you to The Vault and Fast Buds! Got my seeds and will have them planted soon! Just have a grow I need to chop over the next couple of days! I'll soak the seeds this evening. Tentative plan is to grow then in 3.9 gallon auto pots in a soil/coco coir blend and fed Greenleaf Nutrient's Megacrop.

This is going to be fun!

just transferred them to 3 gallon pots, started some lst, Bluedream on the left, Brooklyn Sunrise on the right.using peat mix with 20% added perlite, a little garden lime, and a couple of cups of alfalfa meal. so far they've gotten one dose of 150 ppm jack's 20-20-20-, and one dose of 150 ppm cal-mag.

the Bluedream is bigger, but....

the Brooklyn Sunrise is already throwing white hairs.....tick tick tick......

Are you growing under uncapped regular led bulbs?
Yes i am. They are under 12 bulbs in total, of varying wattage of 12-15w each, depending where I bought them from. Roughly 150w total with 8x 2700k and 4x 6500k. Each bulb is over 1500 lumen with cap on but should increase 10-20% due to cap being off.
I can't post any pics yet - I have spent the last week critically ill in a high dependence unit in hospital, i got sepsis which turned to septic shock and all my organs shut down. It was 70/30 AGAINST me that i would pull through. I haven't been online since early last week. Today is my first day home and I haven't even got the strength to walk to the garage to see the plants. I lost 15lb. My wife watered for me and assures me they are still alive!!

Hey guy...just happened across your post. Don't know you, but I just wanted to wish you well in your recovery. Sounds like there was some luck, good medicine and a will to live at play.

Glad you made it...prayers are with you,
JD

Thanks for that, I appreciate the good wishes.

I really do truly appreciate just how lucky i have been. I went into hospital early evening, the docs said if i had gone to bed instead I would have died in my sleep.

Luckily for me my local hospital is only a few miles away and they are really up on sepsis. They saved my life and it didn't cost me a penny. If anyone ever slates the Uk's NHS i have a damn good response to them.

On top of that I turn 50 this Sunday (24th). I might not be able to celebrate like I wanted to, but it will be my happiest birthday ever.

Glad to hear that you're on the way to recovery now! That is a hell of a thing to overcome. Hope you are back on your feet soon.

The NHS is basically the backbone of the UK, and we need to fight to keep it, to stop people like Branson from buying it up. I've been to my local hospital 3 times in 3 weeks with 3 different family members.. absolutely unbelievable! I can't imagine what this would have been like if I'd they all had to pay for care too!

Good to hear you are on the mend mate.Hope you had a great Birthday!Your spot on regarding folk that slate The NHS..They do a great job & are overworked and underpaid! My father was in a coma for 3 months & is back on the mend due to excellent care in the Intensive care Unit.We never thought he would make it due to the numerous strokes he had whilst in the coma.

Day 40
Good news is that although I am still weak and tire easily, my strength is slowly coming back. Probably due to the fact I now have my appetite back and am trying to get some of the 16lbs i lost in total back (not all of them, I quite like not having man boobs any more)
I went down to the garage a couple of days ago and saw my girls for the first time in a fortnight. Apart from a few lower leaves lightening up they were in a lot better state than I imagined. My wife only gave them water and seaweed extract while I was ill, so I have to say I am mightily impressed with the Lidl own brand multi purpose compost. No wonder it came top of the Which Magazine trials. Our hanging baskets and tubs are growing better than they have for years as well, all using the Lidl.
As well as no feed, the british summertime is happening this week, so temps inside the garage have got up to 30C. Temps inside the cabinet are only 1-2C higher than ambient so I can't complain. Lights out is from midday to 4pm. Garage side door is wide open as well as a window now, so air temps are more like 25C now in there.
Gave both girls a 1/3 strength feed yesterday, I will slowly increase this until full strength or they show signs of tip burn.
Plant looks different greens as I didn't realise flash was on some. Couldn't be arsed to retake them. They look a lot better green than they do on screen, they look really bleached out on my laptop.
Blue dream is on the left. She has distinctly 'sharper' serrations on her leaves - I really like the looks of her.IMG_3865 - Copy.JPG IMG_3866 - Copy.JPG IMG_3869 - Copy.JPG
