Trump supporters are already celebrating like it's a win for Trump that he's scrambling to sign something to relieve the heat. No mention of the failed tactic of getting funding for the wall at the expense of thousands of children's psychological development and our homeland human rights reputation.

Trump could poop in a bag in the floor of Congress on live TV and Trump supporters would hail it as a victory. They are not smart.

This is not a battle to win their hearts and minds: it is a battle to overcome them.

Americans are spoiled. Relatively safe. They have no idea the horrors some of the asylum seekers have been through.

I have no doubt I would do the same for my kids if I were in the same position.

How horrible it must be that someone would uproot thier family and travel thousands of miles just for a chance at safety.

I don't get how people can be so callus about the situation.

That's something I really do struggle with. I have deep roots where I'm from and friends I've been close with for the better part of two decades now, and they fell into it. Went from not one word about politics or any issues in all the blunt cruises and conversations we've had, to having strong unwavering opinions about Trump and parroting his talking points.

It's easy to get caught up when you're talking to faceless people on the internet via texting to paint a picture about people. But when you know someone deeply and have known them before the brainwashing, it's tough to give up.

I nearly drank myself to death for many years over hate.

I learned to let it go and forgive.

So much more peaceful now.

The complete lack of system for reunification shows how evil this plan was from the get go- they had no care of what eventually happens to these kids...

a step up in enforcement doesn’t have to include the planned stealing of children. What was the original long term plan here? We know they don’t want to adopt em out as they are non citizens, and they hate less than white non citizens... what was the plan to do w these kids??? If u were gunna step up n enforcement and deport these ppl, even that shudda has a plan to reunite them w their kid for Christ’s sake!!!

This is a moment in history that will be written of and not kindly if sanity prevails in this fight for the soul of our nation
