Controlling Temps

Is 85 deg too much for plants under 1000watt hps?

What is normal temperature for plants that just have been transplanted?

Also besides buying a humidifier, any chance that I can increase my humidity that I have currently at 30 percent?

I have tried damp cloths and little bowls of water but no luck.

Thanks in advance.

85 degrees and up will start to slow/stop growth......A good range is from 72-76 and can drop during the night...

For the humidity, u need a closed space for anything to really work well. I'm workin with an open closet and nothin works for it. So I'll take my 40% and love it during flowering

I have a 6x5 foot room with 7 foot ceilings thats pretty good sealed up with OCB wood and 2x3's in addition to duct taping it really well.

Ha, i got the exact same dimension in the little room my closet belongs too! i got me a humidifyer a while back and my hydrometer didn't even go up hardly any, if at all... but that was in a little closet, with no door on it. humidity was about the same as it is now, like 35-40% but i could tell it was humid as hell in the little room itself when i walked in to it to check on the girls. I tried the water, wet towells, and all that, nothin. But anyhoo, a humidfyer's only like $30 at wall mart I think it might really help ur area oot. Also, idk if u got one of those digital thermometer/hydrometers, but they got them too cheap and it's worth it to know exactly what the conditions in ur room.

If you can keep your temps under 85 you will be fine. I live where its hot and my temps with a 600w and a air cooled hood + AC are 80-83 all the time. The only problem is mites! The higher temps are perfect for spidermite problems. So I mist with Einstein Oil and Coco Wet every 3-4 days to keep them away. If you do get them mist every other day till they are gone then go back to every 3-4. Mist buds with lights out so the buds dont burn and flush before harvest so the taste and flavor are not affected. If you use regular neem it wont get rid of the mites and it ruins the taste and smell if you mist the buds even if you flush. I allways get mites if I go on summer vacation and cant mist every 3-4 days. Then I have to continue my rmisting routine till all the eggs are gone. Einstein does not kill the bastards but it stops them from molting which stops their life cycle. Summertime is the problem time, never in fall and winter. Its too cool out for them. So start misting as soon as temps rise in the spring and you will have no problem with mites.

The recommended dosage of FF is 1/4 of what is said on the bottle. ( 1 teaspoon per gallon)

Isnt that too little? I mean 1/4 of a teaspoon per gallon sounds like a drop in a bucket.
