The 324 is Nichia.... This one
So anything to consider when running these at 200-250w? Will a fan blowing in the room over the plants and LED boards be enough to cool them with the Slate 2 heatsinks? There is aircon in the room, but that's just to keep ambient temps down, as there are currently 4800w of HPS lamps lighting the place up. We want to replace 2x 600hps stations with these boards initially to see how they compare before we make the full switch to LED for a commercial operation. Thanks.

2 of these boards on a 480H-C2100 on a triple heatsink active cooled should do better than a 600 Hps. Using around 150 watts less. With optics it will definitely be impressive. I wouldn't run them at that much wattage without an actual dedicated fan on the heatsink.... The little bit of extra wattage will more than make up for itself in light output from lower Thermal Junction Temps.

Ah. So they're NT2L757GR-V1 - not NF2L757GR-V1 as was posted earlier.

I went back to the QB324 thread and you did mention the correct leds, even though someone else provided the wrong link earlier on - which I obviously missed.

So that's my mistake, and would explain the discrepancy.

However, it's not like I'm not growing pot here, LOL! bongsmilie

Also, I do owe Cutter another apology, because it looks like the Nichia 576 Solskins are, in fact, more powerful than the QB324s - albeit at a higher price.

Perhaps HLG should think about publishing the type of LEDs they use on the QB324 boards on their website: https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/collections/quantum-boards/products/qb324-with-slate-2-single-combo

It would be really handy and save some confusion. I know I'm not the only one who was confused about it.

You should have made all these qb 324 posts in that thread. you've taken this one way off course

Which Nichia are in that board. NF2? Their is no real gain in efficiency from our testing.... Just 1 watt vs 1.3 watts max which I don't really see running these boards at 1.3 watts per led....

Just to be clear, someone in the QB324 thread posted a link to the NF2L757GR-V1, which we all thought was the chip being used, because there was no other info on your website to clarify.

Later, you made a post stating they were NT2L757GR-V1.

The NT has a max rating of 150ma. The NF 200ma.

I did ask the question - twice - in the QB324 thread, but no-one answered. So I came to this thread.

After four pages, you posted a link to the correct LED and I finally realised my mistake.

I've already ordered the boards now, and still plan on running them at around 200w, or 100ma per LED. It just means the LEDs will be running about 2/3 their max rating (NT) instead of less than half (NF).

No big deal, just a bit of initial confusion that could have been saved by having the correct LED specs on your website. That's all I'm saying.

I understand.. I'll make sure it gets fixed.

I bought a 135 hlg qb kit the other day to the UK and am very impressed by their service, arrived quickly and no tax to pay
Thinking about a hlg 550 for a 4x4 but not sure if temps in middle are to high or not enough light at sides, anyone know if the version 1 kit is good in a tent 4x4
Cheers
