ANYONE HERE USE PREDATORY MITES??

Can anyone tell me the shelf life of predotary mites? Also I guess I store them in the fridge? And last question the directions say 2-4 mites per leaf how in the hell am I supposed to count out microscopic mites??? Or is there some kinda scoop or something!

Usually the packages should come with detailed info but if not you could just look up any of the sellers and they should have the info on their site.

Now that I look closer those might be fungus gnat larvae. With that many around I'd imagine there'd be a lot of adults around. Do you have a fungus gnat problem?
I fucking guess I do now! I have never ever seen a single one before! When cleaning my room I lifted a big pot that's been sick and between the pot and the saucer was thousands of these lil worms moving everywhere! I have the yellow sticky traps everywhere and haven't found but one single misquote looking thing in almost a week!

FG Larvae will have black heads... little black dots at one end in the direction they move.. if pot worms, not harmful.. they actually make castings .. but thrive in more acidic conditions... those guys are white or off white and have no black heads.. be good to know which one you have!! the gnat larvae also leave slimy trails in soil..

Yeah I took over a worm farm once and it had millions of these, it was a pretty wet farm and somehow the ph got lower despite it being fed mostly veggie scraps from the juicer... one of the best plants we had had lots of these, it still grew really fast and furious, I ended up luring them out of the pot a bit by using rope as bait.. they love wet rope for some reason!

I make a special worm mix and add it to scraps before feeding the worms. Just toss it like a big stinky salad!:o
It's got oyster shell to buffer ph, neem seed meal, alfalfa and lots of clean sand for grit.

With food, the shelf life should be indefinite as they would reproduce..

They usually come mixed with a substrate, you could use the substrate to estimate, i am guessing..

Im curious has anyone ever stopped a mite infestation with predator mites?Or is it all nonsense(like ladybugs). I would love to see some evidence. My solution to mites is avid and floramite 3wks into veg if I see mites or not and I haven't had a mite problem in years. Before this I would get mites like 6-7wks into 12/12 and by then these chemicals are no bueno (vacuum)

But I've never been to prison...
Lolz reminds me of a story i heard. This threads pritty intresting as i usto be about the chemical war fair myself i was a Mexican Hitler on those peskie mights but first is changing close before entering clean room seal all cracks and well chemical actually im against!!# hanging with granola kids or old hippies and documentarys and personaly almost dien a slow flue like death ya no way!!!!! Good to know for outside plants vegies and trees!!!! Great read!!

Try evergreen growers out of Oregon.

Nature's good guys aren't a very good business. I contacted them a few times; they tried to say a price increase was to cover the cost of shipping, and then they still included shipping. I pointed that out; they never responded. Also, most companies state that the predator mixes with a. cucumeris, amblyseuis, etc are challenging because the usual 4 mites can't be distinguished from one another. It seems ripe for a scam, specifically given how nature's good guys acted.

I have bought from them but won't again.

Call evergreen growers. Someone picks up every time. Prices are reasonable. You can find a wide selection of beneficial mites and solutions.

I'm working through a spider mite problem now. I used nuke'em a few days before predatory mites.

Question for anyone with specific knowledge: can nuke'em and lactic acid based sprays be used after inoculating with predatory mites?
