Hi

I don't use castings personally, but I believe they are meant to be mixed into the initial soil mix, and it is highly dependent on what mix you're using. If you have started with a potting medium like a peat based soil or dare I say it "Miracle Grow" there will be a basic nutritional value in that which will see them through the initial sprouting phase.

Your best indicator as for everything, is to look at what the plant is telling you my friend. If it looks on the pale, lime green side, it wants more feed. If its getting deep green and you're experiencing some leaf curling at the edges or yellowing at the tips, you're overfeeding (probably hard to do with castings?)

I use coco coir as it is a loose, well oxygenated medium that dries out quickly and has no nutritional value from the word go. I then use Canna Coco A & B nutrients mixed into tap water to feed my girls, and the result is very green, very happy, fed to the max without overfeeding plants. In any case, you'll really want to start feeding them after a week in my opinion and certainly be bombarding them with nutrients by week 2 when the second set of jagged edged leaves are forming.

Can you post a picture of your seedlings? That would help with giving you some specific advice tailored to your set up

I read plants is small and young need food for growing to big cannabis plant of weed. Big pot and nutrient is good but I want start my own first grow of cannabis soon. I look for more to read about cannabis andshare with forum. is very good and I see every here is cool

Im a newbie grower so maybe im wrong ...but in the first 2 weeks i don't feed the seedlings only water , little drops ... I never had any problem with any grow before .... I also use normal soil from shop not all-mix or stuff ...Simple soil with worm humus ... They've always done fine.... I usually start feeding them nutes after 3-4 weeks , depends , low doses .... Never had any problems before ....Peace brother.

Sounds like the norm is after 2/3 weeks and once second node has formed I'll take all your guys advice thanks in advance
