The harvest flush yea or no

honestly, this is my goal each time. green and healthy. also, the harvest window is a lot wider than ppl believe. it's better for it to be healthy, especially if you want it to flower till it's ACTUALLY done. the last few time i harvested, they were healthy and green. never ever ever got a single complaint about taste. on the contrary, nothing but good reviews from the few who i actually share with. i wont sell it, no need. i'd just run out and need to buy someone else's uncured, freshly chopped, freshly flushed, bad tasting bud.,
I don't sell either but will smoke with friends and they all want to know where I get my bud.

it's funny here. the people with the best advice, routinely get shit on by well known members. i just don't get it. just feed my idea it's malicious, the bad advice sent around is done on purpose.
The whole straight water practice at the end of harvest is common among many forums, with a few making sure all new members make sure they are being told that information and to follow it to a T. I mean if you think about how a plant works and how uptake, and translocation work ect, it doesnt make a lot of sense in the end. I agree overfeeding plays plays a huge part in people's garden. One of the toxicity symptoms of phosphorous is a chemicle taste in dried bud. I think the flush may be a lot more forgiving on people that's why it is so common for everyone to do it. But it's just speculation.

Just try it. Grow green to the end and do a proper slow dry and cure and see how smooth the smoke is.
I have!!
And that is EXACTLY my point.

May be new to RIU
But i have been around long enough to try. I can tell you now.

Ive done the pepsi challenge with mates as well.

Can i clarify that i dont starve my plants already!

i'vr grown some awesome tasting gear when i first started. didn't know shit. burned my plants so bad i refused to take pics. still smoked great and smooth because i dried and cured it the right way.... can't believe i did that ONE thing right. my advice comes mostly from experience. i don't parrot like some. i say for me, flushing doesn't do shit. but it does for others, maybe they quickly dry and don't cure, so flushing removes the chlorophyll and makes it taste a little better. but curing achieves this, and much more. this is my belief, don't have to be anyone else's. science agrees more with my premise than the buds being sources rather than sinks.

it's amazing what people believe until science comes along. sometimes it isn't an easy battle, just look at the flat earth people.
Haha best tasting when you first started

Here comes the stretch

what are you talking about. that was over 10 years ago. maybe context should matter.

edit: my point wasn't "best tasting" because i didn't even say that. i said it was great tasting, despite my shitty grow and burnt plants, because it was CURED, and not flushed, get it? context.

Once you realize that the two sides will never agree the sooner you can carry on with your own experiments, just don't expect anyone to give a shit about your results.

The culture today is to shame others into speaking their beliefs even if you
Don't believe them.

Once they get enough people doing it there becomes a perception that there is a bunch of people in their movement. Then of course more people will be buffaloed again.

After all if a majority believes it must be true.

My point?
I don't know.
You tell me, then Ill feel better about
Whatever my opinion is.

Its safer that way.

I learned in the food industry that people eat with their eyes.

Hence, garnish and presentation.

I also believe cannabis is about more than the cannabinoid profile.

Its about the complete experience.
All 5 sences.

I believe the same about growing.

If it makes you happy to see some fade, then fade. If not then don't.

Again i dont care what anyone else does

But if a bud is still full of nitro and chlorophyll

I personally think its best faded out

How ever there are many roads to acheive this.

Its worth it to me....but again i dont sell my shit its for me so it doesnt matter :)

But i judge others weed on how well it burns and taste (strain anomalies asside)

If you can make your bud burn to a fine white or light grey ash, light with one flick of the bic
And taste good till theres nothing there

It doesnt matter to me how you did it.

If you try to cash your pipe in your hand and it burns you ..........it was a coal and not fine ash hahah

carry on

Ok i will voice my point, science advances and one week oatmeal is heart smart, a few years later its the devil.

I have lived through about 3 cycles of that. I don't like oatmeal.

But no one here is a scientist, we listen to scientists and spout that oatmeal is god.

Then those god damn scientist fuck us to death

Again Im not attacking anyone in this thread. In fact im very fond of most posters in this thread.

Its ok to disagree. Much better people than us do it all the time.
