Coast of Maine soil ?

Coast of maine is good shit but a little on the pricy side. Which product are you considering? The stonington blend is the one designed with cannabis in mind, intended to last the whole grow.

I used to use the stonington blend before i started recycling my soil, and it was the closest a bagged mix ever got me to a full water only grow. I recommend potting up with fresh soil before flower if you do a long veg on a hungrier plant, though.

I've long since moved on to recycling my soil, with spent stonington as a base. The coast of maine lobster compost and some ancient forest round it out. I also use their lobster meal in my mix. I just tried out their seedling mix for my current round and will definitely use it again.

My local shop rolled out bags of stonington a couple years ago at 35 bucks a bag. They've since come to their senses and it's about 25 now. The lobster compost is 14 and I forget what the rest of the stuff is. I used fox farm dirt for years and watched the quality and predictability go into the toilet. I don't care what it costs I'm not going near it again. I have access to the coast of maine line and it's a huge upgrade for a small price increase imo.

Thanks for the info! Actually I was hoping somebody would tell me because I was at the hydro shop last week and I forgot, but you're right, that's the one (they've just started carrying it and they only had that one type so far)

Guy at the hydro store raves about it, while it might not fit my particular needs right now it seems great, when I went to the website I couldn't believe what these Maineiacs are doing with soil, they've got a lot of interesting products! (I'm in New England and support local businesses)

Glad to hear it's as good as reported! I'm not sure if it might be a little hot for my needs but I'm going to give it a try on some designated plants, probably a side by side comparison grow soon, he said it was 10 bucks more than ffof and I pay 22 bucks for lg. bag of ffof

if the guy at the the hydro shop is raveing about anything stay the hell away from it lol, no but real if u can sorce some local compost add couple little things u be way better off. complete ripoff buying by the bag,go to local farm buy some yardage

Their compost is decent stuff. Haven't used the soil. If you're not opposed to mixing your own you can do a 4-4-2 peat, perlite, compost mix. Way cheaper than buying it premade. Add lime,kelp and a good organic all purpose fert mix. Top dress with bloom mix going into flowering with compost or ewc.
