the moles don't get in my grow bags,
But they go ape shit in the yard and im afraid my dog will break her leg she steps in a whole chasing the ball.
My buddy use to plant in the ground and he started putting a few layers of wire mesh around the inside of his holes to protect the rootball.

I also heard of a recipe you spray on the yard that makes the grubs taste like shit and the moles allegedly

It was a concoction of like molasses and a bunch of other shit.
Not sure if it works but i used to listen to home improvement shows on am radio and dude swore by it

I don't have any problem with moles etc. just the hares and badgers (at least I presume thats what dug them up last season).
I have spread 5 gallons of pee around the area. so ill report what happens I guess! also put out some garlic to discourage the slugs.
I put out the plants a lot more mature than previously so that should Also help.

The best way to get rid of slugs is to put a pan of beer out. They will want nothing to do with your plants ...and they die happy and drunk.

Will be doing that too. Got some slug damage early on in the polytunnel - one night slug hunting, then put garlic and ginger around the seedlings, and added garlic to my water. I didn't see anymore after that, they sure don't like garlic and ginger!

I used that once : a asshole moved into my whitetail set-up. Put a fckn stand within 300 yards if me. He never saw a tail all season.No Badgers down my way, but I go toe to toe with the deer every season. I use this stinky stuff with pretty good effect.
